THE WOUND

CHAPTER 14

If only it was a dream ,
If only wishes came true and the ground swallowed me ,
If only this never happened ,
If only ...

I was still shell shocked about what happened seconds ago when Aaron came forward glaring at Matt then at me . I stiffened and tried to say something but words failed me . I was speechless .

Aaron fisted his hands and came forward to punch Matt but Matt was faster . He bent and tried to direct a punch at Aaron . Matt didn't know that Aaron was a black belt and had plethora of training . Matt was powerful and strong but not as skilled as Aaron .

     Aaron kept his eyes trained on Matt and kicked him on the knee dodging the punch thrown towards him . White hot rage exploded inside him and he didn't hold back or attempt to dampen it . He threw another punch but I came between them. I closed my eyes and covered by face with my hands to lessen the pain of the fist but the pain never came.

Aaron clapped his hands and laughed .

" My wife is saving her boyfriend . Savannah , I never thought of you as a bitch but you just made me wrong . You are not only a bitch but a selfish unfaithful whore . I thought I was doing wrong , that I was selfish but ....but I am .."

He didn't get to complete his sentence . Matt swung a fist at his face , this time it hit Aaron square in the jaw and his head toppled back with the force . Blood was running down his nose , Matt probably broke his nose also his jaw grew dark red .

Matt was looking worse ,  he had blood flowing from his cheek , his temple and his knee was in an awkward angle .

Aaron swore and came forward to continue the fight but I yelled ," Stop , You both get out of my house and fight if you want . My son is inside the room sleeping . I don't want him to wake up and freak out. You , " I spun looking at Matt " Go inside the room . I am bringing a first Aid box to clean your face . Try not to harm your knee . "

Matt looked at me , looking hesitant but I stood their waiting for him to object. He didn't .

When he left , I spun , facing Aaron " You can get out of your selfish and soon to be ex wife's house . I don't answer to you . "

" I don't care about you ." He glared daggers at me .

Ouch.

He calls me a whore , a bitch , selfish and unfaithful wife when he is engaged in an affair with his secretary since only God knows when .

" Well then get the fuck out ." I glared back.

" Fuck your boyfriend. I am here for my son . I want him back . If you and my son do not return to my house , I will sue you. I will claim my rights. With the money I have , you will be lucky to get a weekend to stay with him . "

All the color drained from my face .

" You can't do that ." I whispered.

" I didn't want to but now I will . Pack your bags now . We are leaving . Wake Jim up ."

He ordered.

" I.... But ..I..oh God . You are a monster. " I whispered .

" You don't know how mean I can be , sweetheart . " He sauntered towards the kitchen leaving me to myself . I went to bathroom , washed my face . The water was cold and it helped . I knew I looked pale . I felt dead .
