𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟕.

Y/N's POV

The floor started to tilt, catching everyone off guard. Still, all of us managed to get to safety.

Kobeni and Arai continued shouting for Denji to die, pissing me off so much.

"I'll use the sword already... Give me your permission Hime - Himeno?!" Himeno had wrapped her Ghost Devil's arm around Aki, making it hard for him to move.

"No, Aki... I can't let you... You know what will happen if you use the sword!" Himeno said.

"What'll happen?" Denji asked.

"His lifespan will shorten a lot..." Himeno answered. "The sword's not the only way to get out of here. And Aki still needs to live on... He has so much more to do..."

As I was thinking, I saw Arai about to attack Denji. I resisted the urge to punch him and used my hands to hold him back instead.

Then Kobeni came out with a knife and just as I was about to really knock her out, Aki managed to free himself from the Ghost Devil and pushed me out of the way, getting stabbed.

"Aki!" I yelled, and was really about to knock out Kobeni before Aki grabbed my arm. "Why the hell did you push me out of the way?! You know I can handle it all on my -"

Blood dripped out of his wound. "Denji's... out to kill the Gun Devil... and I am too... but in order to kill it... I need as much... devil hunters as possible! Shortening my lifespan... won't mean much... if it means I have his help!"

"Power! Please stop the bleeding!" Denji yelled.

"It's kind of hard controlling another person's blood..." Power said.

"Well who's gonna cook for you if he dies?!" I yelled.

"Right ~" Power said and got to work.

Himeno mentally collapsed. "What are we gonna do... What are we gonna do?! Ah, Aki! Y/n! What are we gonna do?!"

I grabbed Denji's arm and pulled him to the side. "Bust out your chainsaws. Have you noticed? The devil's scared of your chainsaws. That's why it's trying to get the others to kill you," I said. Denji's eyes widened in realization. "And it doesn't like pain. I'm sure your chainsaws will do some major damage. Do you think you can torment it until it wants to kill itself?"

Denji's expression turned into a determined one. "Hell yeah! I won't go down without a fight!" Then he looked at Aki. "I don't want to own anyone any debts anymore. If we get out of here, we're officially even!"

Denji pulled the chord attached to his heart and jumped down, heading into the devil's mouth. The devil closed its mouth, some blood splattering.

"Did he just..."

"He's not dead," I said.

Then Chainsaw exploded out of its mouth, revealing its true form to all of us.

Wow this feeling... of fascination. It's wonderful.

I watched with awe as the Chainsaw Devil began slicing into the devil, everyone else watching in horror at his transformation.

The 2 fought, Denji filled with rage and the Eternity Devil yelling in pain.

"This isn't looking too good..." Power said. "He's losing blood at a fast rate. If this keeps up, his chainsaws will retract."

Denji started getting weaker, and the devil noticed it. It started to bite Chainsaw, and just as Power had said, his chainsaws retracted.

He noticed he was out of blood and decided to drink blood from the devil to get back his chainsaws. That was quite smart.
