Doffy x Reader {I'll Pick You Up At 6} AU

(Y/n)'s Pov

I was trying to finish up my paperwork when an insufferable man decided to ruin my day. "Do you have any Valentine's Day plans this year (Y/n)?" I wasn't sure why he asked the same question every holiday but it was growing old and I wanted it to stop. "Doflamingo get the hell out of here. Criminals don't belong in the police station unless they're being booked. Have you committed some sort of crime today?"

"Fufufu. Hello to you to (Y/n)~ Are you trying to suggest if I was attacked the police won't help little ol' me just because you deem me to be a criminal? Tsk, tsk, tsk~" Of course Doflamingo would try and turn my words against me but I was used to his behavior. "Have you been attacked Doflamingo?" As the man leaned closer his fingers grazed at my neck though he quickly returned to his starting position as he slowly shook his head. "Nope~ Have you (Y/n)? That bruising along your neck looks terrible"

"You don't know?... One of your gang members tried to kill me last night. I didn't get a good look at him so don't ask" When Doflamingo's smile dropped I knew he wasn't happy. "What are your plans for the night (Y/n)? You didn't answer me the first time" As his smile reappeared on his lips, I gave him an answer. "No plans this year just watching movies at home. What about you Doflamingo, how does a weirdo spend his Valentine's Day?"

"Perfect~ I'll pick you up at 6 (Y/n). Be ready and wear something casual" Before I could stop the man, he had already left through the station's exit leaving me in complete shock. "(Y/n) have you finished your paperwork yet?" As my Captain stepped in front of my deck, I could only shake my head while looking at the massive pile of papers I had left to finish. "Don't worry about (Y/n), I'll finish it for you. I want you to go home and get some rest"

"Are you sure Smoker?" My Captain didn't leave any room for me to argue with him as he took my files and left. "Hm, I kind of want some cake from that bakery down the street" Standing up for my desk I quickly checked out before I headed for the parking lot. Though when I noticed a familiar blonde waiting for me, I paused. "What the hell do you want Bellamy?"

"The Boss is worried about your safety (Y/n). He's ordered me to follow you around until you make it back to your apartment" Doflamingo needed to leave me alone but I knew that man had some serious problems since he never listened to me. "I want a cake from the bakery" Since I didn't have a car, I usually walked to the bus stop a few blocks away but if Bellamy was here, I could just catch a ride with him. "Alright (Y/n) follow me"

45 Minutes Later...

"Tell Doflamingo I don't appreciate having people follow me around... and also make sure he doesn't show up later since I'm not going to let him in" Bellamy didn't stay much as he escorted me safely back to my apartment door before he quickly left the building. Doflamingo was a strange man and he often had his men following me around the city but I was growing tired of it. "Home sweet home"

Locking the door behind me I started toward the kitchen where I put my cake on a plate before taking it to the living room with me. Setting my plate on the coffee table I started looking through my movie collection trying to decide on which one to watch first. "Hm, maybe I should watch an animation film or a comedy?" I stared at my options for a while but I couldn't make a selection, there were just too many options. Though as the door to my apartment opened Doflamingo walked right in before he made himself comfortable on my couch.

"Doflamingo what the fuck are you doing here and I thought I took that spare key away from you!? Get the hell out before I have you arrested!" Of course, in typical Doflamingo fashion, he didn't listen to me but he did take a small present out of his pocket. "Calm down (Y/n)~ Bellamy told me that you changed your mind about our date. I can't say that makes me happy so I'm bringing the date to you. Take a look at this present I got you"

When I didn't reply to him, Doflamingo got a little annoyed though he reminded quiet as he glared at me from behind his shades. "I'll order you some take-out (Y/n)~... You can't ignore me all night my dear"

A Few Hours Later...

"Do you like the rice (Y/n)?" Somehow Doflamingo had convinced me into letting him stay over but he was ruining the movie with his constant talking. "Speak one more time and these chopsticks are going down your throat. I'm not going to let you ruin my movie anymore" I knew there were only a few minutes left of the film but I was going to at least try and enjoy it.

It wasn't even five seconds after the credits started to roll that Doflamingo's voice filled my ears. "Come here little (Y/n)~ I want to cuddle with you~" As my eyes narrowed at him though it didn't stop him from pulling me into his lap before he took away my rice. "I hate it when you ignore me (Y/n) and just so you know I found the worthless scumbag that attacked you~ He won't ever hurt you again, I promise"

"Did you kill him?"

"Fufufu. Now, why would you think that (Y/n)? I'm not a murderer you silly girl" I didn't dare try to bring up his past but I did move out of his arms as I started to stretch. "Yawn. You should go Doffy it's getting late... Can you clean up the mess before you do though?" His ocean blue eyes stared at me as his smile faded but I knew we couldn't keep this up. "Can't I spend the night (Y/n)? No one's going to see me leaving your apartment... I just want to spend time with you"

"Clean up this mess and shower then you can join me under the covers but I'm going straight to bed so there will be no fooling around. Do you understand Doffy?"

"Of course~ Happy Valentine's Day (Y/n)"
