Chapter 7: Destroyed laboratory

All the lessons were boring until one.

"Now everyone mix the vinegar with the soda and watch how they react to each other. You're still amateurs, so I have to take it easy on you," smirked Orochimaru.

"So bothersome…" thought Shikamaru. They all did what they had to do except one student.

"Uzumaki Naruto, what did you do?!!"

"I *cough* put there this violet substance."

"Are you *cough* serious?!! Everyone, get out!!!" After a while, the class exploded and was all purple.

"D-did I do something wrong?"

"You are all defective!!" yelled  Orochimaru. Naruto just destroyed his laboratory.

"How could you mix H2SO4 with KMnO4?!!"

"So I did mess up…"

"You… you will clean this mess after school!!"

"What??"

"You heard right!"

"Damn brats, they'll destroy everything…" muttered Orochimaru when he was on his way to the principal.

"Uhh…" Naruto was tired of everything. He kept thinking about what Hinata might be involved in. He couldn't even think clearly anymore. In addition, he noticed that Hinata was avoiding him. She watched him for a moment and was sad, but then she turned her back on him.

"What’s this all about?"

"Uzumaki Naruto, come to my office immediately!!" yelled Tsunade at the school radio.

"Ahh, Tsunade no Baachan!" Naruto walked slowly to her office.

"She’ll kill me, dattebayo…" Naruto slowly opened the door.

"Naruto, didn't they even teach you how to knock at home?!" Tsunade said irritably. Naruto preferred to be quiet.

"You know why I called you here, don't you?"

"I have an idea..."

"You know, I should expel you for this, but I won't."

"Huh?"

"Kakashi told me how much you had improved in math, although I couldn't say that about other subjects."

"Yeah, that was because Hinata tutored me."

"Hinata?"

"Umm, she’s the best!"

"I see."

"So you won’t expel me?"

"Not today, Uzumaki Naruto," said Tsunade and smiled at him.

"Even so, you'll have to clean up the lab, Professor Orochimaru was furious," she said a little more irritably.

"T-that’s clear to me-ttebayo!" said Naruto.

"That's all, you can go."

"All right, Tsunade no Baachan..."

"Don't call me that!! I'm done with Jiraiya a long time ago-!!" Naruto slammed the door before Tsunade could kill him for that.

"That weird guy, complain about me like that..." The laboratory was destroyed, and yet Naruto had to stay there and clean up everything he could. Fortunately, chemistry was their last subject. But when Naruto returned, he saw Hinata there.

"Hinata? What are you doing here-ttebayo?" She was quiet and continued cleaning. She dipped her rag into the hot water and slowly washed away the traces of harmful substance. Naruto came closer to her.

"Stop it!" She stopped.

"That’s not what I meant!" He grabbed her wrist.

"Stop avoiding me!" She looked at him horrified.

"All right, I understand. You don’t want to do anything with me anymore." Naruto let go her hand.

"Y-you are wrong. It’s for your safety."

"W-what did you say?"

"If I continue to talk to you… simply if I am with you, your life is in danger…"

"So someone is blackmailing you… I knew it!"

"Think what you want, but stay away from me from now on," said Hinata and left the class. One last time she looked at Naruto and disappeared.

"Tss, those bastards! What should I do? Uhh, I have to clean this up first!" Naruto stayed there until the evening before he cleaned it all up.

"I’m… so… tired…" Plus, his stomach was churning.

"Pervy Sage, save me!" But when Naruto came home, only instant ramen was waiting for him.

"I'm sorry, but today you'll just have to make do with instant ramen. I'm in a job consultation right now…"

"PERVY SAGE!!!!"

"I'm sorry, Naruto, but I couldn't tell you the truth…" thought Jiraiya, sitting at the police.

And with that, Naruto woke up all his angry neighbors.

"Hahah, sorry." Naruto didn't deal with it until tomorrow. Mainly because they had chemistry for the first hour. But now he decided to sleep better.

*beep* *beep*

"Uhmm…"

*beep* *beep*

Naruto snorted.

"Uhh… what time is it?" Naruto looked at the alarm clock.

"Oh no, I’m late again!" Naruto quickly changed and rushed to school.

"I’m so sorry, Profesor Orochimaru-?" The man in front of Naruto wasn’t Orochimaru. The class was surprised too. Naruto approached him and touched his face.

"This is a mask, right?! You won’t fool me, Profesor Orochimaru-ttebayo!"

"Actually, that’s my real face."

"It speaks!"

"Mr. Uzumaki, can you treat me better than as some sort of thing?" said Kabuto.

"Oh, I’m sorry about that-ttebayo."

"All right, maybe you are wondering why Profesor Orochimaru isn’t here. The truth is he resigned from the position of teacher after the last incident. His last words were: "I won’t ever teach such brats again!" "

"Hahah, he’d definitely say something like that-ttebayo!"

"Don’t laugh, Naruto-kun, it’s all your fault."

"Ara, ara, you really thought I would leave you to this sip…"

"S-sip?"

"Profesor Orochimaru!"

"Hmm, if you haven't figured it out yet, then… IT’S A PRANK!" He stuck his tongue out at them.

"He’s weird as usual," thought Sasuke. Then Orochimaru grinned at Naruto.

"You, you were definitely happy to hear that."

"No, no, I wasn't-ttebayo!"

"Never mind, I was just teasing you."

"You damn Profesor!!" yelled Naruto.

"Heh, if you want, you can get a loader from our esteemed principal."

"Ahh, I'm good already!"

"Good. To make it clear, this is my assistant. He also wants to be a professor just like me. But no one can be so good!"

"He’s so full of himself," thought Naruto.

"This would be enough as an introduction, so let's start with the lesson," smirked Orochimaru.
