Chapter 11: Results

Naruto's POV

"Heh, Uzumaki Naruto is already here, what a surprise!" said Professor Orochimaru.

"Oi, keep it!!" I yelled at him.

"All right, no need to be angry. Kabuto, give them papers!"

"Of course, Orochimaru-sama!" He touched his glasses.

"Here you go!" Kabuto said.

"I like Kabuto, thanks to him I don’t have to get up from the desk," said Shikamaru. Shino agreed.

"Shibo, I hope you won’t cheat…"

"Excuse me?" Professor Orochimaru ignored him. Poor Shino.

"Well, start!" He licked. Ughh. The test was quite difficult. Writing on nomenclature and theory. We also had to write chemical numbers. Or numbers in Greek, I don't know now. So it was… hemi-, mono-, di-, tri- ,tetra-, penta-, hexa-, hepta-, okta-, nona-, deka-… Wow, I really remember it! Thank you, Neji!! *Neji sneezed* Except for that theory, I did pretty well. Who the hell needs to know what toluene, benzene, fluorine and etc. are for? I don't get it!

"Hmm, Shibo, take everyone’s papers."

"Ahh, I guess he likes to mess with me…" Shino took everyone’s papers.

"Wait, wait!" yelled Ino.

"Sorry, time’s out."

"Uhh, here you go!" said irritated Ino.

"Thanks, I guess…" Shino gave it to Orochimaru.

"You're getting better, Shibo, it only took you 3 minutes to take the papers!"

"Is he serious…?" Shino was annoyed. I sympathize with him.

"All right, I guess this is over for today. I’ll tell you the grades tomorrow. Because this is the last week before holidays. Oh, how I love them! There are no brats!" Orochimaru talked to himself.

"Exactly, Orochimaru-sama!" Kabuto touched his glasses.

"Kabuto, we’ll travel to Maldives!"

"That’s great idea, Orochimaru-sama!"

"Just what kind of relationship they have??" said disgusted Sakura.

"I’m asking the same thing…" said Ino. Well, it’s weird but I like them. They are sometimes funny together. Not yesterday! They made us suffer a lot! We had next class with Kakashi-sensei.

"Well, I would rather read again Icha-Icha Tactics. For the fifth time. But I know this week is the last, so I  rather corrected the tests. Here you go… Oh, Shino, would you do it for me please…?"

"Why is it always me…?" muttered Shino. He gave everyone their tests. N-no way…! No way! That’s impossible! This has to be a mistake! I was looking for my name. It wasn’t rewrote! So Hinata didn’t…

"Kakashi-sensei? Is this really my test?"

"Yup." He was reading Icha-Icha Tactics again… So it’s not a lie or a dream… I really got a B as my grade! Thank you, Hinata! Now I feel more confident, dattebayo! I still couldn’t believe my eyes.

"Naruto? Why are you so excited?" asked Sasuke.

"I got a B!"

"N-no way! I got an A-!"

"Wow, I’m really catching up with you!"

"Tss, you are really good. It wasn’t easy."

"Oh, A+, that’s a surprise," said uninterested Shikamaru. Just how? I remember times when he had same grades as me. What or who changed him? Oh… I know, heheh. He was doing his best for the first time just because of his scary mom, but now he’s doing it for Temari, heheh.

"All right, now I’ll tell you your grades." He got my attention.

"Hmm, it’s a long list so I’ll just tell you the grade and the names…
A! Sasuke, Sakura, Sai, Hinata, Mieko, Shino…
B! TenTen, Shikamaru because he had bad grades before… Ino and few next people…
C! Choji, Kiba…
D! Naruto. Well done everyone. You will receive a certificate on Friday."

Yes! I made it to the next year! Hinata blushed for some reason. The other teachers also told us our grades. I had a D in every subject, but the main thing was that I didn't fail! Just Professor Orochimaru will tell us tomorrow. I was sitting with Sasuke in the school cafeteria.
