~Normal P.O.V~( Still in the dream )
I stared at him in shock. Why didn't I save him? I probably could have tried harder to move my limbs but I quickly gave up. 'I could have saved him! I'm such a bad daughter.... I could have done more...I could have...I could..' I paniced. I looked down at dad's body until I heard a distant voice.
It sounded so far away but I could make out some of the words.
"Hershel..........she.....alive?"
Who was Hershel? Who's she and what's this about alive? Did somebody die? The voice sounded so familiar.... I just couldn't place it, It was on the tip of my tounge. Think! Think! Think!
Oh! I know who the voice was! How could I be so stupid? How could I not instantly recognize the voice of my own father?
~Daryl's P.O.V~
Shane ran in with all the necessary supplies. After he handed them to Hershel, he walked out into the living room where most of us were. When I saw him, I ran to him and hugged him, it was a bro hug so it's perfectly normal.
"Thank you" I sighed, happy that my daughter had a better chance of living with the supplies Shane got. He nodded and pat my back for comfort. We didn't talk about Otis right now. Apparently he got cornered and told Shane to run. I don't completely believe his story but he saved (f/n)'s life so I'm not gonna bother ask.
I sat on a chair, twiddeling my thumbs, for what fet like hours, until the surgery was over. Every once and a while, we would hear noises and go investigate, but it was merely Hershel bumping into something, or dropping something.
Just as I was about to stand to see how the surgery was going, Hershel stepped out. He had blood on him and I instantly paniced. That was my daughter's blood on his shirt. He looked around with a giant grin on his face.
"The surgery was a success!" He beamed.
