~Daryl's P.O.V~
I stared intently at (f/n), hoping,hoping that my wife was alive and safe. She slowly met my gaze and when she did, I could see the sadness in her eyes. At that time, I could tell that something happened, but I just needed to be sure. "Mom..s-she's dead" I heard her whisper. I felt my heart stop, all hope for her was gone. My eyes widened, as I struggled to keep my tears down. I took a couple steps backward.
"Goddamnit" I growled. I couldn't surprese all the anger that surged through my body."How?.how..did she.." I asked, slowly. I had to know, how my beautiful wife left."She.. d-died protecting m-me.." She spoke just above a whisper so that I could hear her. She looked so guilty. I slowly walked back over to her and embraced her.
I felt her tense up, but relax into the hug and wrap her arms around me. I then felt an unknown wetness on my shoulder. I turned my head to see that she was crying on it. I wiped her tears with my hand."shh..it's going to be ok now, I won't let anybody hurt you, your safe" I gently whispered in her ear. I then saw the corners of her mouth twitch upward and a mall smile that I quickly returned.
"We ,should get going, we still need to find Sophia, remember Daryl?" Rick asked me."Yeah, I know, I was just a bit excited to see my daughter after two years of being apart,Rick" I replied."I know, it's nice to see you smile for a change" Rick replied with a chuckle."I bet it is, we should go back now, we should introduce (f/n) and ...." I trailed off, glancing at the other female, now standing beside Glenn and Rick."Hailee" She blurted out."What?" I heard Glenn ask.
"My name, it's Hailee" She repeated, with a slight blush on her tanned cheeks. Rick, Glenn, and I nod."Ok let's go introduce (f/n) and Hailee to the rest of the group" I decided. I stood up and grabbed ahold of (f/n)'s hand and we set of towards our makeshift camp.(aka.The Church)
