~Normal P.O.V~

Michonne and I trekked through the forest, killing the occasional walker. Some being fresh, bites and scratches littering there skin, while some looked like they had been walkers for a long time, skin decaying, dried blood sprayed across there skin and clothes.

We would have small conversation, but most of the time it was dead silent, allowing me to clearly hear the distant birds and the crunching of the leaved below our feet. It was now late August, and the sun beat down on me, burning my exposed skin.

Michonne and I continued to walk, until we came upon a street, houses lined up beside one another, no walkers in sight. It honestly didn't look like anything effected this area. I felt like one of the doors would swing open, revealing a little girl and her parents, who would run out onto the street, dancing and laughing together.

I sigh and continue to walk, until I spot something odd on one of the roofs. It was an opened can of pudding, a big tub of it too. "What the?" I breathed, I wondered if anyone was here, and alive. Maybe, just maybe, someone from the group was still alive.

We checked about 5 houses when we came upon a house that had a weird aura about it. Not a bad one, it felt sort of, familiar. I looked at Michonne, who shrugged, and walked towards the house. She looked into the window while I walked up the porch steps. I saw a tear run down her cheek and I ran to her side.

"What happened? Is someone in there? Michonne what is it dammit!" I pestered. I didn't really like asking so many questions, but I was worried. Michonne doesn't ever cry, ever. I peek into the window and gasp, lifting a shaking hand to cover my wide open mouth.

I saw Michonne knock on the door, one of the figures inside hesitantly walking towards the door and looking out the peephole. The slightly smaller figure inside looked towards the window, making eye contact with me. Their jaw dropped and I smiled and slightly waved.

The smaller figure ran towards the door and yanked it open, ran to me and slammed their body against mine in a bone-crushing hug. "Carl" I breathed, I missed him so much, I needed him. He pulled back after a minute." Y/n" He spoke with a large smile plastered on his face.

I smiled and hugged him again, not wanting to ever be away from him again. I was pulled out of my thoughts by a cough. I looked to see Michonne and Rick looking at us, both smiling. Rick ushered us inside and we talked until it was time to hit the hay.
