His cell rang again and the look of relief covered his face. I had listened as he got another update on his stock price.
"You're kidding? We broke 300? It's barely eleven. "
I watch him return back to his normal self, in control, focus like a laser beam on his sole objective: making money and expanding his Empire. As he talked about stock breaks, record numbers, press releases and potential mergers into his phone. I looked out the window and soaked up the view of the lower Manhattan.

I remembered when Copter and I used to walk around the streets, in the green he would be in his eyes like he had a secret he wasn't telling me. Did he know back then what he would become one of the most powerful men in the city? Did he know about his father when he took the job or even that faithful summer when Rick came for visit? I wanted to ask him, but I couldn't. The lawyer made a condition of the interview and he wasn't judging on it. That's also the time when I thought he was so in love with me.
He hung up the phone. "Okay where were we? Something about Samders being the cost of all the world suffering?"
I ignored his sarcasm and then scanned my list of questions I knew I wouldn't get any closer to knowing the truth about Brazil, so I decided to move to another question that might reveal more about his relationship with his rumored father. "Why did Jeremy Samders make you a CEO at a such a young age when there were other more obvious choices?" I asked.
