Tequila was definitely never a good idea.
Before now, Kassandrah had only perceived that fact from afar... well that was, in fact, before last night or was it early this morning.
She could not tell, because the hangover fog hung over her rational side of the brain and just made every single thing an incomprehensible blur. Groaning slightly, she rolled over in her bed and her nose made contact with a delicious scent. It was a unique and unusual scent, one which she was not entirely familiar with. Her pulse picked and she groaned again.
"Oh mother of heaven this smells appropriately good." Her hand brushed the bed sheets and she sighed as she felt the warm bed sheets.
The delicious scent was in fact a cologne of some sort; it had a slightly spicy and sweet tang that was definitely delicious in its own right. Smiling further, she burrowed her head into the foreign pillow, her body went even deeper into the bed. On its own accord, her nose dipped further into the foreign other pillow.
'Other pillow? Woooooh, wait a minute. What other pillow? You only use your own set of pillows and never another pillow?' Her subconscious glaringly asked her.
A frown adorned her forehead as she tried to think past last night's hazy smoke.
What the hell happened last night? How could Nicquotte let her drown herself in sorrowful alcohol?
She pounded and pounded over those specific questions but no answers came. Just at that precise moment the smell of coffee tickled her nose and her eyes instantly shot open.
Coffee? Coffee? Was that coffee that she had just got a whiff of?
The smell of coffee was too divine to miss and she quickly sat up in the bed, glancing left then right. Then left then right again.
'Holly Moses, where am I? How did I get here? Whose bed is this?' Questions flared to live in her brain as she took in her surroundings.
The wall on her right-hand side was a rich hue colour and floor to ceiling windows or perhaps some sort of glass sliding doors marked the left-hand-side as their territory. Her eyes widened as her eyes focused on the view outside the class doors. The hills were a beautiful deep-and-earthly-shade of orange; the water was a tantalising-and-reflecting shade of the sky, which made it appear slightly turquoise if not a better shade of purple or blue. Inhaling deeply, she felt all the knots in her muscles unknot and total relaxation took over. The view was fascinatingly beautiful and delighting. Its beauty even eased her hangover and made her appreciate the early morning.
Now that is a view I could wake up to every single morning!
Recalling that she had no idea what place this was or where she was, she tore her eyes away from the magnetic view and looked around the peaceful room, it was fairly clean and neat, and surely, she was not a hostage of some kind.
Panic coloured her brain and she quickly thought about getting away from whoever her captor was
Her brain demnded that she get some coffee first. She slightly bit her bottom lip and impassively decided to inspect the source of the coffee aroma. Then find an escape route. Maybe whoever that was making coffee would be kind a real human who would help her escape whatever confine this was. Throwing the covers off her body, she swung her legs over the bed and stood up. Her eyes immediately flew to the peculiar and very oversized t-shirt adorning her body.
'Now where did you get that? What happened to your expensive silky dress?' Her sub-conscious tapped her foot on the floor, folded her arms and looked directly at her.
Alarm widened her eyes. Something did definitely go down last night. She slowly and attentively drifted towards the slightly ajar bedroom door, maybe this would get her some answers and maybe she would find the source of the delicious coffee. She hurriedly licked her lips as she thought about the coffee. Glancing around her, she sighed dramatically when she could not spot her dress nor her heels.
Shit, what was she supposed to do now!
Walking to the door, she grabbed the knob and pulled the door wide open. The hallway was empty and she glanced up and both down before stepping out towards the coffee source. At least there wasnt an army waiting to attack and slice her up into bits and pieces. She took deep breath and still her brain only functioned on the need to find that coffee. Images of deliciously grounded and roasted ground beans melting in hot, boiling water made her move forward. She had to find that coffee or else everything would remain a haze, if not a blur, and the headache was only getting more and more intense with time. She walked past several doors, both open and closed. A quick glance told her that the rooms were all deserted. No amount of curiosity could over-ride her need for coffee as she did not even bother appreciating the expensively decorated room. She Just wanted to find some coffee and get the hell out of this place, surely it wouldn't take that long to do both. Inhaling deeply, she assured herself that everything would be all and well once she took a sip of the coffee, so she only let her nose guide her. She continued until she reached a slightly open door that must have been hiding the source of the coffee; the delicious aroma of coffee whooshed past her and she smiled at the fact that she had finally discovered the coffee fantasy.
What if opening the door would only lead to her finding her captor? What if she regrets her action? Maybe she should make a run for it. Surely one of the doors would lead her outside. Surely it would be wise to turn around and find an escape route, right?
NO!
'COFFEE!' her brain screamed.
Sighing delightedly and blissfully, she pushed the door open, not even thinking for one minute as to who was behind the door or who was making the coffee. She just had to find the goddam coffee!
And leave, of course.
The sight before her left her totally and abashedly speechless. Her mouth remained agape, she opened and closed it in an attempt to speak but nothing came out. Nothing at all, not even a single squeaking sound.
Rippling muscles were woven tightly under a golden bronze skin, from his shoulders down to the white miniscule towel that protected this stranger from outrageous indecency. Society would have such a ball throwing accusations and insults at this beautiful, bronze stranger. Against her own accord, Kassandrah's eyes continued downwards and gazed at the shaped backside.
Yummy. Very impressively sculptured. Utterly gorgeous!
The massive body-building warrior was dressed in NOTHING but a simply white towel! It hugged his hips and highlighted his athletic body. Either he was a sportsman, a fitness freak or he simply definitely spent all his days at the gym. Dios! Could a man look anymore sinful than Aphrodite? She only realised that her mouth was still agape when she tried to swallow and could not.
His bronze skin looked so scrumptious delicious and all logical words that could describe his enthralling, impressive body fled Kassandrah's brain, and she was dumbstruck! She was utterly dumbstruck. She had an edge to reach out and run her hands all over his muscular form. She wanted to run her hands through his shoulder-length hair right down to his bulging and toned shoulders and wayyyyyy down low to his buttocks.
'Behave, behave...you don't want to throw yourself at him.' Her sub-conscious warned.
Right at that moment, the perfectly sculptured stranger turned around and looked at her; he cocked his head to the side and smiled slightly.
"Good morning Kassandrah."
Oh surely, I am dreaming. This can not be.
Her captor not only knew her name but he was looking at her as if she was the most delicious thing on this entire world.
Kassandrah's body felt hot all over and she felt faint as his deep voice repeatedly played over her senses.
