Chapter Seven
"To be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow- this is a human offering that can border on miraculous." -Elizabeth Gilbert
Kassandrah stared at her recently acquired husband; he was a completely bundled package and a half all in one dosage. She actually wandered as to what she had done to gain such a startling person into her life.
"Kassandrah, is your English Breakfast Tea satisfactory?" Zachary raised a neat and clean eyebrow her way.
Smiling a sweet, soft, and subtle smile, Kass thought about a game that could test the Mighty Zachary Mendevil.
"You are fussing over me." She stated.
"Is that a question?" Zachary looked her straight in the eye as he spoke.
"It's a statement." As bold as any woman, Kassandrah stated.
"Nothing is ever a statement, when it sounds like a question." Zachary counter-acted the argument.
"Could it perhaps be a rhetorical question?" An impressed smile found light.
"You are way brighter than I gave you credit for." A mock smile adorned the god-like Adonis.
"I'm glad that you, Sir, appreciate all my intelligent beans." Kassandrah smiled as she stood up.
Gathering up most of the dirty dishes, she swiftly made her way to the hi-tec and clearly expensive ceramic sink- white tiles decorated the wall that rose from the sink. A window, covered with blinds, probably gave a gorgeous view of something extraordinary. Depositing the dirty dishes in sink, she proceeded to run some warm water to rinse the remaining food.
"So tell me who ever said that you have 'intelligent beans'? I find you very, very intimidating."
Slight tears clouded her eyes and she quickly wiped them away as she could hear that her husband-for-moment was not too far off.
"I have brains then Zachary." She placed the dishes in the dishwasher and rinsed her hands with lukewarm water with the very evident action of trying to keep her temper under control.
"I find the way you say my name as very electrifying, Mrs Mendevil." Zachary's words made small shivers run down her spine.
"Is it now?"
"Oh, yes Kassandrah, you drive me momentarily and catastrophically senseless. Do you approve?"
"Would you rather I tell you how I like the way your tongue rolls off as you say my name or would you rather I indulged you in your tempting and calamitously chaotic insanity?"
A sharp breath attacked Zachary's lungs as Kassandrah- his wife's words sounded like an angel's voice singing from her symphonically equipped nest. Automatically reaching for his wife's arm, his heart rate pummelled up high into the Troposphere.
He wanted nothing and nothing more than to kiss his lovely, exotic and feisty wife. She was challenging him and he was falling deeply into her trap. She was like a breathe of fresh air after a long, tedious journey. He slowly Brough her into his embrace and kissed her. She was his wife by law and she was about to be his wife in more ways than one...
