Inciting "Accident"

As my driver opened the door of my limbo, I took a breath, then stared longingly at my estate before the golden gates surrounding it opened up, and I walked out and set my feet on the cool green grass.

As I stepped out, I heard a sharp thud of my estate gates slamming shut and car doors shutting, with two tall, muscular men dressed in suits start walking by my side.

I start walking to the estate, with the men not far behind, as I take in its yellow, sun-kissed walls, silver-tinted fountains, and hand-cut animal shrubbery, and chiseled masonry. It's vaguely victorian, though now it has a more modern look. I took a deep breath and looked around at the many woodland lands that I also now own, and briefly put my arms behind my back, interlock my fingers, and stretch.

I made it to the entrance of my estate fairly quickly, as one of those large men walked up, opening my estate door, gesturing for me to go indoors.

Of course, I obliged and walked indoors, immediately glancing upwards at the upstairs stairwell near the first-floor ceiling. I moved my head back down before turning to glance back at the two men.

I looked into their eyes and motioned for them to follow me up the stairs before asking one of them, "Is the attic untouched as I requested."

The man looked around cautiously.

 "Well..."

I turn my head and stare at the man, a scowl creeping its way onto my face. "Well, well what?"

"Well," Shifting his eyes to my face. "We, never mind actually they, had to enter the attic, to disinfect it."

"Y'know, that's the thing about old houses, broken nails, rust, dust oh and of course tetanus." He said attempting a smile. "Horrible thing it is, tetanus: fever, headaches, nausea, death..." The man then started nervously chuckling as he did.

I groaned, "Believe me, I know." I turned my head back to the staircase and started walking upwards. "Were you at least careful, did you try to do it delicately?"

"Yeah..." The man said as he and his companion rushed to up the stairs to join me.

The man cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure." Yeah, they, not me made sure to do things as cautiously as possible, they told me myself."

"Fine, but you made sure to instruct the maids not to clean it, right?" I said as I continued up the steps. "I don't want anybody else to enter the attic."

"Yes." He said staying my pace," We made certain that none of the servants did so much as clean the doorknob."

"Good, I hope you're telling the truth, for your sake at least," I responded.

I saw what looked like a wave of anxiousness wash past their faces before quickly turning back to their cool, confident expressions. " I can assure you; it's been untouched nobody's been there."

After hearing this response,  I continue walking up the steps and toss my hair by my shoulders while stating.

"Also..."

I start walking faster, before rounding the corner near the next flight of stairs, suddenly stopping just as fast as I started and turning to face him. His mouth was held almost agape, and his face was deeply contorted with worry, at this, I make sure to shine a smile before responding.

 "Thank you."

He responded with a smile, though, the smile didn't reach his eyes.

Soon we reached the entrance to the attic; the door a tan yellow, delicately ornate with a simple flower design and light green petals being placed around said design, it was fitted with an oval-shaped glass handle sharing that same flower design. It looked fully victorian, unlike the sleek modern walls that surrounded it.

It had an almost hypnotizing allure which made it harder to notice when one of the men started reaching for the door for me, which I distractedly put to a stop before his fingers could graze the door.

"Stop, I'll do it myself."
