crack!

the phone slammed onto the ground, glass pieces from the screen visibly breaking and scattering onto the floor.

' another phone gone to waste. ' ( y/n ) thought to herself, watching as her father screamed at several workers who were caught on their phone during the job.

( f/n )* ( l/n ) never learned to control his anger and often became a violent man when people did things he didn't like.

* father's name

the poor soul flinched in their place, body trembling in fear and tears brimming their eyes. she was genuinely confused, not knowing what she had done wrong to get her phone cracked and be screamed at with painful words. she wanted to ask why? but her mouth was clamped shut.

the meeting room was silent, no words being spoken as ( y/n )'s father continued to glare down on his worker, who in his eyes, was a slave.

"you're fired." he spoke in an annoyed tone, pinching the top of his nose bridge, furrowing his eyebrows.

the girl quickly picked up her things and scurried away in a panic.

( y/n )'s father owned a small business and was a desperate man for money, success, and fame. only keeping the kind man act up in front of the public eye and important figures.

the way he handled business was through fear and "discipline". each violent act he displayed in front of the workers would only make them "respect" him more—as he would like to word it.

( y/n ) was merely a child who knew of nothing and learned from her father.

earning respect and safety through fear and violence was the only way to get through life.

that was the rule her father embedded into her mind.

a rule he liked to demonstrate countless times in front of the 10 year old girl.

it was no lie though. earning safety and respect through violence and fear was the easy way out. it would secure your place as the higher up and if they were to disrespect you, they'd expect to be put through hell.

the car door slammed shut as the two ( l/n )'s secured their seatbelts, silence quickly taking over as her father began to drive.

"fucking hell, why can't they just follow the simple fucking rules? it's not that hard to do." ( f/n ) cursed, his grip on the steering wheel tightening as he accelerated the speed more.

the girl felt fear run through her body as the man she called a father barely dodged the cars.

'we're going to die if you don't calm down.' she wanted to speak. but she knew saying that would only add fuel to the fire.

"if it weren't for us being understaffed, i would've beat that bitch's ass and fired her. what kind of dumb fuck opens their phone in front of the costumer?"  the male continued to rant, slightly annoying the smaller version of him.

( y/n ) questioned his logic and brain work often, even going to a point where she questioned if he even ever went to school or how he passed and graduated with a degree.

' maybe if you just told her the rules before putting her on the job then she'd know why you were pissed.' the girl responded in her head, turning her head to watch the sun slowly go down, illuminating the sky in various pastel colors.
