I know I can’t always be
That friend
The one that is always there
At every twist and turn
I know I can’t be
That friend
That’s always there for a movie night
and to talk about crushes
I know I can’t be
That perfect little friend
The one who is
Thinner than paper
As sweet as sugar
As beautiful as a butterfly
And as comforting as a big fluffy blanket in the dead of winter
Or as popular as the newest issue of Seventeen
The one that has all the boys chasing after her
I can’t be
That friend
That’s not annoying
The one who you enjoy being with
The one who makes you laugh
I can’t always be
That friend
That isn’t goofy
Or Stupid
But I can always be
A shoulder to cry on
A friend to have fun with
The person that you with giggle until you can’t take it
The friend with all the inside jokes
The one that you vent all of your worries and sorrows to
I can be the friend that puts you before me
Please still love me

In the Dark
PoetryI write poems when I can't sleep. I bleed my mind. These poems are unedited, and written in the dark. Some poems are free verse, and some I wrote with a clear rhyming pattern. In some poems, I tried. But I surprise my self sometimes.
