What would I do without you?
I would probably cry
Cry until my eyes sting wet with tears, and I've cried all I can
Until I was dehydrated
I would do that for you
The birds wouldn't sing their cheerful songs in the morning
Lulling the world awake in the bright early sun
And the Sun
It wouldn't blast off it's beautiful rays
Creating brush strokes of color
Carefully planned out in the sky
My countless memories would be gone
Because there would be no you to live them with me
Instead it would be a vast empty space
The memories being ripped from my grasp
The Fireflies wouldn't light up the night like little shooting stars
Bursting with joy
There wouldn't be another person
Next to me
To laugh with over the little things in life
To sit on top of my desk in home room
My pencil jabbing your thigh as I read
There wouldn't be another person who would know
What a smile can hold
Joy
Excitement
Curiosity
Jealousy
Anger
Confusion
Sadness
This is why
I don't like to think
Think about what I would do
Without you

I originally wrote this for one of my other friends. But then I realized what I would do without her. Continue my life. She continued hers. Now, I realized I need this poem, and another friend does too. I honestly can't wrap my head around it. Stay sTrong. 😘
I changed it up for you.

In the Dark
PoesíaI write poems when I can't sleep. I bleed my mind. These poems are unedited, and written in the dark. Some poems are free verse, and some I wrote with a clear rhyming pattern. In some poems, I tried. But I surprise my self sometimes.
