Just recently I wondered
Why is writing important to me?
I just realized the answer was simple.
Writing is my best friend
It will be there when
I am crying myself to sleep over life
Writing will be the first one I tell about my hopes
And dreams
And wishes
It will be there when I need someone to tell
Even if it’s 2 am
Writing is my mother
Directing me to a positive way
To release the anger
The hate
The insecurities
The stress
The feeling that I'm not wanted
Not loved
Writing is my sister
The one I share all my secrets with
It's been there since I was born
Waiting for me with a big smile on its face
Writing is my guide
It helps me sort out my life
Escape the world
Take a break from life
Writing will always be there for me
That’s why I love writing
