I remember this one day.
In the common room.
There were many people there.
There was this girl.
With long brown hair,
And steely eyes.
She walked right up to me and hugged me,

I squeezed her tight.
She squeezed right back.
Then she let go and smiled.
Something I have not done in a while.
I wanted to try again sometime.
I guessed that sometime,
Would be that time.
I smiled.
At the girl.
She smiled even more.
"Raina's the name,"
She said in the most beautiful voice.
Well besides the boy's.
"Emmalise,"
I said with a shaky voice.
For I hadn't talked in a while.
I guess she could tell,
For she clapped excitedly,
While she jumped up and down.
I wondered why she was here.
She seemed so ...

Two nurses came and grabbed her.
She waved goodbye as she was being led away.
I had a new friend.
