Another week had passed, meaning another letter had been addressed to the oldest brother of the Philza family.

After reading the previous letter, Techno had been haunted with the memories of he and the black-haired girl, the feeling of her delicate arms wrapping themselves around his back for a warm embrace still lingered on his skin, even though a full year had already passed since she'd left them.

"I wonder what Amber has in store for us today," Ghostbur commented, breaking the silence that had been hanging over them since the beginning of the day. "..." Techno did not answer his younger brother, and the clinking of the key seemed to be his only reply.

Tommy hesitated for a while before placing a hand on his brother's shoulder. "We miss her too," he said quietly. "We all miss her." The pink-haired man stopped for a moment, looking around at the numerous letters that surrounded them. "...Each and everyone of these," he finally said, causing Ghostbur to jolt back. "Are her memories of what happened throughout the wars, throughout the peaceful times, everything. And..."

The man reached for the next letter, dated the 9th of November. "...each and everyone of them, are her words put on paper. Her own words, spoken from her own mouth." Tears were once again, brimming in the sapphire blue eyes of Technoblade. "So it really is like... if she were talking to me... about what she'd thought of the situation we were in... Ah, she really thought ahead..." Ghostbur and Tommy watched in concern as their older brother smiled down at the letter, wiping away his tears.

"Well?" he asked after a few moments had passed by. "Let's see what Amber has to tell us today."

...

Dear Techno,

Maybe you've forgotten, but I really love nighttime.

During the day, it's always too bright and loud in my opinion, but during the evening and when the moon comes out to replace the sun, I always like how peaceful it is, and the sight of the little wisps of clouds drifting past the moon, how quiet it is, ah...

I usually spend them alone in my backyard garden, sitting on that old, marble bench that was carved by my father when we first moved there.

I usually sit there by myself, thinking, but today was slightly different, as you accompanied me tonight. It was a comfortable silence. A silence that allowed us to think to ourselves, yet at the same time, in the company of each other.

How many more nights like this will we have before I leave, my friend?

Your friend,
Amber

Tommy blinked in surprise. "Hey, this one's really short," he commented, his large blue eyes wide. Ghostbur nodded in agreement. "But it must've meant a lot to Techno... just look at him," he whispered to his younger brother, nudging him. The elder of the three siblings was looking up at the ceiling, the royal blue eyes that she adored so much cloudy and distant. "Yeah, she did love nighttime," he finally said. "We spent many nights on that bench in silence. I don't think I'll ever know what she was thinking about... but I know that every time I sat there, I was asking the stars what I should do with my heart." Tommy and Ghostbur only stared at their brother sadly.

"I..." Technoblade spoke up again, closing his eyes as tears threatened to fall. After a good two minutes, he let out a long sigh, not bothering to stop the flow of tears that cascaded down his cheeks.

"I want to sit there on the bench with her again. Just one more time."
