"Hey wait up!" I scream at the top of my lungs as Alec and Gavin rush towards the forest. Alec turns around. "What is it now!" Alec screams impatiently. "Shouldn't we think this through?" I respond. Gavin rushes towards me and puts his arm over my shoulder. "Ah Berry. So timid and frightened, just relax and live in the moment for once." Gavin says persuasively. I look towards the forest and feel terrified. Not only is it murky and eerie, it reeked of a horrible odor. Almost like rotting corpses and feces. I knew if we went in there, we would surely die. Alec was standing fearless and tall, wearing a light green coat. It had nice white lines running down from his shoulders to his wrist and an unzipped zipper, revealing his plain, white t-shirt. He had brown hair, and brown eyes. His skin was light brown and he had no facial hair at all. He always looked at people with such a serious look, and he was ever so serious looking. Alec could never be serious with anyone, always sarcastic and cruel. His serious nature fools you into believing everything he says, even though it’s complete rubbish. Alec had special powers. We all did, but Alec was stronger than all of us. That’s why he was the older brother of the pack. We’re not related but we see each other as brothers for the simple fact that we’ve been together since birth.
“Hey Berry!” Gavin called. “We should really get a move on, don’t ya think!” I make my way towards the forest shivering in fear. Gavin was the most spontaneous one of the group, not a care in the world. He could stand up to anyone without a second thought. Oh how he loves the art of fighting, he doesn’t mind dying, just as long as he has a good match. I always envied Gavin for his carless attitude and Alec for his strength. I just wish I could amount to their level. I felt useless to the group, like I had nothing to offer. In all our missions, I would just stand around like a damsel in distress. I’m no warrior like them; I can hardly call myself a Vex.
Gavin rushes towards the woods; he wore a red hoodie that covered his short, black hair, he never takes off that hoodie unless there’s a fight approaching. He had dark, brown eyes. He was very stocky and had light brown skin, just like Alec. After a few moments, I couldn’t see Gavin. The trees had concealed him. Alec had rushed in the woods as well, leaving me behind. Moments later I hear a loud screech emerging from the woods. This screech couldn’t be human. I dash behind a tree for cover. I wasn’t going to die, not today. I just hope my bros are okay.
