Gavin is walking too fast. Alec just wants his space, what do I do. I don’t like this. I don’t like being alone. They’re too far ahead! I run as fast as I can to catch up but I find myself to be out of breath in seconds. Gavin disappears into the trees and Alec becomes but a blur. My eyes begin to grow heavy and my vision is getting blurry. “Alec!” I scream faintly as my body feels too heavy to support itself. In seconds I find myself on the floor. Everything is too fuzzy for me to make anything out. “Am I dying? No…it’s probably my asthma. Why…why now.” I say to myself softly.
“Huh?” my eyes open slowly and I can now see clearly. It’s dark. I hate the dark. There is no sign of Gavin or Alec. “Gavin!” I scream. “Alec!” I scream even louder. I stay silent and wait for a reply but nothing. I pace around in nervousness and trip over something. My head hits the ground face first and my mouth and nose are covered in mud. “Crap! Everything always happens to me!” I scream in frustration.
Suddenly, I hear boisterous footsteps. I look up and see a large figure in the distance. I can’t see who it is but I know it’s not Alec or Gavin. I try not to cry but I feel the tears rushing out of my eyes. “I’m going to die.” I say to myself. The figure was coming towards me. It had to be at least 8 feet tall. As it came closer I could see that it was an ogre. One of the most violent creatures in this forest, I quickly pick myself up and run past the ogre. It lets out a roar, a roar like no other. It was deep and had many different sounds to it. Almost like thousands of discreet shrieks mixed with a solid, resilient roar.
I could hear the footsteps gaining on me, so I cut the corner into a group of trees. The footsteps stopped and all I could hear was a large sniffing sound. It was getting closer and closer. He soon appeared in front of me, with his back towards me. He didn’t see me but I could see him. He had on a brown leather cloth, covered in slime and blood. He was a killer, I could tell by the blood-infested clothes he had on. He also had on brown pants with various holes in them, and black steel-toe boots. His arms were very muscular but his stomach was pushed out. His skin was a mixture between green and brown.
I slowly made my way behind the tree and kept running in the opposite direction. He must have heard me because I heard the footstep start again. I then felt my feet get caught on something. My body flung to the floor and I could no longer support my weight. My left leg didn’t want to move. “WHAT! NO WAY I BROKE MY LEG! NOT NOW!” I scream. The footsteps get closer and I see the dark figure approach. The ogre’s face is very mutilated and horrible looking. I cringe looking at his crooked teeth and his slimy face. He has scars running down his forehead and blood seeping through the scars. He gets close to me and begins to beat away at my upper torso. I can feel blood spilling out of my mouth as I gasp for air. The ogre shows no remorse almost like he had a secret vendetta against me. I scream for mercy but all I hear is growls and grunts. I feel my chest bleeding and my arms crippling. I knew if I didn’t fight back that I would die.
My eyes begin to throb and my arms feel stronger than ever before. No longer was my leg broken, almost like it healed instantaneously. Could it be? Could I be unlocking my strength threshold? Did I change into my Alpha form? My eyes are throbbing even harder now and the pains of the punches feel like it tickles. I quickly grab the ogre’s fist and twist his whole arm to the right. A look of pain is displayed on his face and he stumbles back. I rush towards him and throw a jab towards his chest and throw an elbow towards his jaw. The amount of power I feel is amazing. My teeth began to loosen, almost like my teeth were on the verge of falling out. I then felt a sharp pain in my eyes and mouth. My eyes must’ve changed color and my fangs must’ve devolved. “Which means! I have an ability!” I screamed in joy.
The ogre charges at me letting out a battle cry. I jolt forward and release a beam of blue light towards him, this light shot from the palm of my hand. Once the blue light hit the ogre, the light dissolved into his chest and the light disappeared. Promptly, the ogre was embedded in a body of ice. It was a solid, thick body of ice, with sharp icicles surrounding it. The ogre could barley be seen in the misty body of ice. I knew he was still alive; I had to put it out of its misery. I let out a scream and punched the body of ice with all my might. In seconds the ogre was nothing but ice particles and flesh scattered all over the muddy floor. My fangs disappear and my eyes throbbed again. I was back to normal. I could no longer use my ice abilities. I was confident in my skill now. I knew I had surpassed Alec.
In the distance I heard clapping, a slow clap. “Impressive I must say! Very Impressive!” I turned around and saw a mysterious figure approaching me. Who could it be?
