Nic's POV
So this is our final day in high school...yes people its graduation day 😀😀yeah well i am happy. The year was not easy on me though i met great people but heey who said high school was a piece of cake. Well right now I'm sitting in my room going over my speech I'm going to say to the school ( principal's orders).
The girls are buzzing around doing the hair and make up. Me being the responsible one i am doing and it's funny watching them throwing stuff around in the last hour as if they did not know we were supposed to leave early so that we get to our seats before the rest of the school arrive.The boys are probably tired of waiting as they arrived earlier this evening saying they needed their mama bear's famous apple pie as they can not go on stage looking hungry ...their words not mine.
35 minutes later
"Finally the might queens are done",mama said as we made our way to the living room. " I was starting to think you jumped through the window and left us here but then you look great as always", Xander said as we made way to the door.
When we got to school i found an angry Miss Imogen waiting for me by the door."Looking bombshell as always my lady",Kyle said as he could see any minute we were doing to have our share of words if we did not hurry."Do not sassy me child i will humble you on your last day, now move we are already late",she responded as we rushed to the hall.
I will tell you what these things bore me to an extent that you would say i would rather go to gym class than this...yes i know i hate this things especially when the school administrators are talking. I zoomed out on the whole speech till i heard my name being called."Miss Broden you are up".
"So uhmmm yeah hie peoples i don't know how to say this but this is my first time standing infront of people so i don't know if i greet like we do at church or as if we are on a protesting rally", i said trying to calm my nerves as the whole auditorium laughed making me feel comfortable.
"Anyways i was told to do a speech last week and i have checked all internet sites to see if i can find anything motivational to share with you but i still found nothing. It's kinda funny how i pictured myself doing this speech when i started high school now i have nothing to say. But then the Bible says if you knock the doors will be opened for you , so I'm knocking the doors to my brain to work so i say something important ",i said and the people laughed again and it makes standing in front easy as you will know you are not boring them.
"As most of you know i was a new student at the beginning of my senior year and that was hard especially with the drama i came with. High school is not as easy as the movies make it look like as we meet different people , some will be long lasting friends and some will hate you and there are some you are like agents of the devil sent to make your life hard but with the best people in your life it becomes easier. I will not tell you anything about school as we have books for that but rather i will tell you about life or at least what you experience in high school. Learn to be humble and treat people the same as you do not know how they are dealing with stuff in their lives. When you look at the world try thinking positive things and things will come together. As for us who are leaving for college i say go live your lives and do not compare yourselves to each other as we are not on a competition and as it is said God's time is the best. We must live our youth as you know Y.O.L.O people but do not destroy your lives with this class of 2018 i say WE HAVE DONE IT MATES!!! Thank you"
People clapped and cheered and i felt like a hero who have just said things that will save lives. We were given our diplomas and to tell you my mom and aunt made the most noise cheering as if we were the only ones graduating. Alex and Xander's parents showed up too which was shocking . For Christa her sister came cheering with my mom as they had become close ovet the past days.
We left for dinner before going to the graduation party hosted by one of the seniors as a farewell thing before going our seperate ways.
