Hermitcraft: Resistance.

Chapter 6

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't post for a while. I got super busy and forgot about this. Anyway, it's a little bit longer than I do normally.  I hope you like the chapter! I do not ship them IRL. I love this song and I had a few to choose from I feel like this one works! 

I had a few hours before I had to get ready, so I changed into pajamas and got into bed. I woke up a few hours later and my first thought was, I have a date with Grian.

I hopped into the shower and put on my usual dress pants and a white button-up shirt. But I decided not to wear a tie or my suit jacket. I applied hair gel to my fingers and combed them through my hair.

I looked up into the mirror and thought I still looked too formal. I rolled up my sleeves and unbuttoned the top button of my shirt. I walked over to my closet and reached for my dress shoes, but hesitated and grabbed my red sneakers instead.

I looked at my watch, Six-fifty-five. I waited nervously by the door for about five minutes when I heard a knock. I wiped the palms of my hands on my pants and opened the door.

"Hey, Mumbo," Grain greeted with an awkward wave. He was wearing his classic red sweater and black jeans. But had actually done his hair. "Hey, Grian," I replied stepping outside.

"So, where are we going?" I asked. "I thought I'd surprise you." He answered. I nodded. We had walked for a bit in silence when I felt fingers intertwine with mine. I looked over and saw Grain looking at the ground, not meeting my eyes. I squeezed his hand and he looked up and saw me smiling and smiled back.

I got a burst of confidence and leaned over and kissed him. It was sweet and passionate. When I pulled away a blush dusted Grians freckles.

"We have to fly the rest of the way." He managed to get out after a few seconds. I pulled out my elytra and some rockets.

We took off and I followed him towards the shopping district. We had a little bit further west and I spotted a small island off the coast. Grian started to dive towards the island and I followed.

As we neared the island I noticed how detailed it was. The island itself was fully terraformed and had custom trees littering the top with a small open hut in the center of it all.

"Grain, did you build all this?" I asked in wonder. "Yeah, I didn't have much time so it's not perfect." He started to ramble while looking at the ground blushing. "Not Perfect?" I said, looking around. "G, this is amazing." I grabbed his hand and he pulled me towards the hut.

He sat me down and grabbed a few things from a nearby chest and sat down across from me.

" So, tell me something I don't know about you," Grian stated taking a bite of his bread. I thought for a moment before replying, "Well, I have always wanted to be able to build my dream house and live in it with my significant other," I blushed and looked down hoping he wouldn't notice that the 'significant' other in all of my daydreams had always been him.

"Would you stay in Hermitcraft or would you move to a different server?" He asked. "I would love to stay in Hermitcraft for as long as possible," I answered.

"What about you?" He looked up confused. "Tell me something I don't know about you." Grian opened his mouth to say something but closed it and thought for a moment.

"I would like to- Oh this is silly, but I would love to be a hybrid like Doc or Ren. I would love to be an avain and be able to fly without elytra."He answered looking at the table with a strong blush covering his freckles. He wants to fly, I smiled to myself.

He must have misinterpreted my smile because he started saying, "I know it's silly."

"No, no. I think it's cute." I hurried to say. He smiled and looked to the sky. "The stars are beautiful tonight." He whispered. "Yeah, they are," I added, looking at Grain instead of the stars.

"I don't want to cut this short, but we both have big projects coming up. And it's getting late," Grian said. I nodded and we both stood up and slipped on our elytra.

As we walked up to my front door, Grian started saying, "I had a really nice time tonight,"

"Yeah me too," I whispered. "When can we do this again?" I asked. "Well, I'm free tomorrow we can do lunch." He suggested. I nodded and pressed a peck to his cheek.

"You missed." He whispered. "Wha-" I started to say. But was cut off by his lips pressing to mine. "That's better," He continued as he pulled away. I blushed and walked inside and rested against the door.
