Chapter 8

Look at that! A new chapter already and one on the way as well?!? Who am I? I do not ship them IRL!!

TW; Blood and other stuff 

Boom! The noise shook the ground. "Wha-" Grain started to say but an explosion shot us both back. The impact of my body hitting something made everything go black.

When I could finally open my eyes I could see two figures standing in the smoke in the newly formed hole in the side of the walls.

"Well look who it is, it's the little traitor." I heard a voice growl. One of the figures started walking towards me and bent down and grabbed my chin with their hand and pulled my face up. I winced in pain as I felt blood trickle down the side of my head.

"I gave you a chance Mumbo Jumbo. All you had to do was be loyal and you ran off to this...this pathetic resistance leader?" The voice sneered but continued, "Well this resistance, if you can even call it that. Is. Going. To. Stop. Today. Good luck saving your boyfriend now." The voice sing-songed.

"Mumbo! Help!" Grian called out. No, no, no. I placed my hands underneath me and pushed myself up. "Grian!" I called out. Looking for where his calls were coming from. I limped forwards in the smoke and saw Scar pulling Grian towards the hole in the wall.

Grian's face had a large gash down the side and his hands were tied behind his back and he was struggling against his captor. "I thought we were going to end this by peaceful means!" Grian spat out. "We agreed no one had to get hurt." He tried to reason with Scar, but Scar pulled out a small knife.
"NO!" I screamed. Scar looked at me and grinned as he stabbed the knife into Grians stomach. Grian cried out in pain and started to fall to the floor. Scar yanked his body up and looked Grian dead in the eye and said, "Well guess what, I. Lied." And shoved Grian forward.

I started to run towards them but pain washed over my body and I fell to the floor and pressed a hand to my side and pressed back a cry of pain as I pulled my hand away bloody. I looked down and paled, a huge gash slid across the side of my torso.

I winced and pulled myself up again and tried to follow Grian and Scar but They were already in the hole.

"I'm sorry Mumbo." Scar whispered and he nodded towards the other figure beside him and nodded. The figure pulled out a sword and Crept towards me. "Grian I'll come for you! I promise I'll find you. Just hold on!" I yelled as I prepared for an attack.

"I'm sorry Mumbo." Bdubs choked and he raised his blade. "Bdubs, please. You don't have to do this. Just let me go save Grian." I pleaded. He looked away trembling. "Don't make this harder. Please," He answered.

"Bdubs. You have to agree with me. This whole war has gotten out of hand. Just, let. Me. Go," I knew it was a long shot but I was mostly stalling as I was creeping backward and slipping on my elytra.

"I can't. You know what Scar will do to me if I don't follow his orders." Bdubs croaked. "I know, and I apologize for this and I hope you can forgive me." I began. He looked up and I had an arrow aimed for his shoulder not wanting to hurt him any more than I had to.

"I'm sorry," I whispered as I let the arrow fly. I knew I hit my target because I heard him cry out in pain.

Well, that took a turn...
