Sapphire's P.O.V

I watched Blake pace back and forth in my dining room. I kept wondering what he wanted to tell me that was making him, so tongue tied. Sighing, I stood up and walked to the kitchen, leaving him to his thoughts.

Walking in, I set my bowl in the sink and filled it with water.

Hearing a clearing of a throat behind me, I looked to see Blake standing directly behind me.

His face was inches from mine, and I felt an urge to kiss him. I leaned in and placed a small kiss on his fine lips. He responded by gripping the back of my head, pulling me in for more. Our hitched breaths and a burning passion made me moan in hope for this never to end.

It was blissful, so right with a hint of wrongness.

Removing his mouth from mine, releasing an exhale he locked eyes with me. With a blink of his eyes, Blake backed away from me until his body hit the counter across from me. His expression turned blank as he stared aimlessly at me, indicating that he was thinking.

I could all but see the wheels turning in his head as he opened his mouth, before shutting it. Blake was thinking about our relationship, that I knew. It wasn't because I was a mind reader or anything... but I just knew that that was on his mind.

"We are best friends." He finally spoke to me.

Nibbling on my bottom lip that was still hot from his kisses, I replied with a smirk. "Best friends don't kiss one another."

He sighed and then strolled right to me once more, his lips brushed mine. "Damn it, Sapphire, I can't stop myself," He whispered to me.

I grinned and kissed him with as much passion as I could muster. Pulling away in a teasing manner, I spoke. "Well, you're in luck, Blake, because neither can I."

"You owe me twenty dollars," Carmen stated to Alicia with a smirk.

Okay, that was not what I was expecting Carmen to immediately say when I told them that Blake and I kissed. In fact, that was far from it.

With quizzical eyes, I glanced at them. "Please tell me that you two did not have some kind of bet about Blake and me!"

They gave me sheepish smiles.

"Maybe... But tell me this, are you two now going out?" Alicia inquired.

Thinking about it for a second, I realized Blake, and I never talked about us being in a relationship. We just kissed as if there was no tomorrow. The memory of my mother walking in, clearing her throat and muttering 'finally', popped into my head.

"Hello?" Alicia sang as she waved her hand in front of my face.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I shook my head at the two curious people before me. "No, we never talked about being 'together'. We just kissed."

"Did he tell you he liked you?" Alicia inquired.

I nibbled on my bottom lip. "Uhhh, no not really..."

"That is a yes or no question," Carmen stated.

"No! He didn't, but I mean the guy kissed me! It has to count for something!!"

"Ohhh, then you should totally use Skyler. Ya know, make Blake jealous, and finally snap into the realization that he should be with you ... Wait... Speaking of Skyler, how did your date go with him?" Carmen asked.

Alicia bolted up from her desk. "I-I have to use the restroom." She shakily stated and then rushed out of the classroom without even asking the teacher to leave.
