Short story uwu

~·~·~·~

Yvo never learned what it was like having parents. He was alone for as long as he could remember. Well, that was until Masafumi and Cecil took him in and brought him to Japan to live with them.

He was offered the last name, but he refused, only agreeing to go with them if they were to act more as a guardian than a parent.

He was too scared to be abandoned again.

Will this girl be abandoned as well?

Such a young and innocent life that he held. It was almost scary just how fragile children were.

"-They lived happily ever after, the end." Yvo finished the story, placing the book on the ground, turning to see if his young lady had fallen asleep.

"Vo!" On the contrary, she seemed to be more energized after reading. "Again!! Bookworm! Read!! (Y/N) want read!"

Yvo sighed, doing as he was asked by the young girl, and picked another book. This time it was just a short nursery rhyme. Surely the young lady would be satisfied with it.

"NO!" She pouted, sitting on the ground with her arms crossed, her little fox dangling in one hand. "More!! Read!! (Y/N) bored!"

"But, (Y/N)-hime," The boy began, picking up the young lady who continued to pout. "It's nap time, is it not?"

"But-"

"Your mother and father told you no?" He asked, tilting his head. (Y/N) whimpered, making him panic, and immediately coddle the child.  "(Y/N)-hime, we'll eat some snacks later. But you know you gotta sleep first."

"...mommy and daddy always noisy." She said, a sad frown on her face. "(Y/N) can't sleep. Mommy angry. Daddy noisy. Can't sleep."

Yvo sighed, laying back down on the play mat, placing (Y/N) beside him and giving her the pacifier, and taking another book for him to read. Something long and complicated will surely bore her and tire her.

But surprisingly, she was attentive until the very end, closing her eyes once she heard the familiar ending of happily ever after.

He smiled, seeing as she finally fell asleep. He pulled up the blanket to cover the two of them.

He sighed, closing his eyes as well.

He wondered, when will this precious child get her happily ever after. Or... will she ever get one.

With that arguing in the background, he doubts it. [Why are your stories so dark?]
