Levi x reader

Rod Reiss

As we made our way to the estate, Hanji told us of the report of Reiss family chapel being attacked by supposed bandits, where the whole family was praying at the time and Rod Reiss was the only survivor. This whole incident happening a few days before Historia's mother was killed. 

"If we don't hurry, Eren might get eaten." Hanji said as we sped up.

".. He wants Historia to eat Eren. Damned royals." I frowned, biting the inside of my cheek.

I felt a hand on top of mine and turned to Levi who looked at me slightly concerned. I just smiled, "I'm okay." I said, and held his hand, squeezing it slightly and he squeezed mine in return.

"Kenny, the Ripper. If he's there, he'll be our biggest obstacle. In terms of how much of a threat he is, equate him to me as an enemy. No.. with those weapons, he's deadlier than me." Levi explained to us.

"Then.. he's unbeatable, at least for us." I heard Sasha say.

"If we could meet up with the troops -" Connie began.

"No." I said.

"Absolutely not." Mikasa and I said at the same time.

"Right, I know, absolutely not!" Connie quickly said. "If we wait  until morning, Eren might end up being eaten." he rambled.

"Though, it's not like he has no weak points." Armin said. looking back at us. "I'm sure he's trained plenty, but having combat experience is something else." he said.

"I don't think Kenny the Ripper is lacking in combat experience ... but those working under him... maybe." I said.

"How is it that you lived with Kenny the Ripper, but know nothing about him Levi?" Hanji asked him.

"Sorry, I only found out his full name not too long ago. Apparently, it's Kenny Ackerman." Levi said.

"Related?" I asked looking at Mikasa.

"I heard that my dad's said, the Ackermans, were persecuted in the cities. Mom's family was Oriental, being a different race meant she didn't fit in anywhere. I never found out why the Ackermans were persecuted." Mikasa said.

"I don't remember much about Ackerman history or anything about Orientals." I thought, seeing the chapel come into view.

"Found it. A hidden door." Hanji said.

"Eren's gotta be down there." I said touching the cool metal door.

"Hopefully the layout is like I predicted." Hanji said, pulling the carpet back further.

"Are you going to be okay going for Kenny?" I asked him.

"Just take care of yourself." He said and I smiled as we got our presents ready.

"We're good to go." Armin said after checking all the barrels.

"Is everyone ready to get their hands dirty too?" Levi asked everyone.

"Guess so." I said, looking at everyone's faces.

We opened the doors, pushing down the barrels. We all ran in as Sasha shot the barrels. Mikasa, Levi and I jumped into battle first as the others started providing cover using the flares.

"35 enemies! They're gathered behind the pillars! Continue the plan, we'll take them all out right here!" Levi yelled out.

"Spread out!" I heard the blonde girl yell. "Surround them one at a time!" she ordered.

"Armin is observant!" I smiled cutting down two of them as they tried to run. "They can only go one direction!" I made my way to my next target.

"I got you!" I heard from behind me. I easily swerved and threw my sword at them, lodging them to the pillar. 

"No, I got you." I thought and moved on. 

I saw Levi fighting an older man, who I assume was Kenny. Then saw Mikasa fighting a blonde woman. I went after the blonde since she seemed to distracted by Mikasa. She grappled to one of the pillars and I went in for a strike. I saw Hanji also going for her. She looked at both of us, then shot at Hanji, and threw her to me. I quickly dodged, throwing my blade at the blonde, hitting her leg. 

"Fall back to the final defensive post!" she yelled. 

I watched as they all fell back. I counted out how many were left, and there were no more than 10. "Kenny. Where?" I looked around not seeing him with the others. 

Levi was a few pillars away, everyone seemed to be frozen in place, looking at Hanji. I saw the smoke shift out of the corner of my eye. "Levi, move!" I yelled as I forced out the rest of my gas and grabbed Levi, pulling him behind the pillar as the area he was standing in was shot. I sighed and saw Kenny fly past. He looked at us both and continued on.

"Are you alright?" Levi asked. I felt his arms tightly around my waist.

"Yeah, my gas is empty though." I sighed.

"You didn't have to come." He told me.

"I didn't think you noticed." I smiled at him.

"So reckless, idiot." he sighed, pressing his forehead against mine then carrying me to the ground.

There was suddenly a light coming from deeper in the cavern. "This place is gonna collapse!"

"Captain!" Armin yelled.

"Armin! Moblit! Take Hanji and get out of here!" Levi ordered, then looked at me. "You're out of gas, so you should leave too." he told me.

"What? I can just switch with Armin or Moblit." I argued.

"That's going to take too long. Go." he said.

I frowned and nodded, arguing anymore would waste time. "You all better be coming back." I said and joined Moblit and Armin as we hurried back to the ground level.

The chapel collapsed just as we left. "That was close." I sighed as I took out my empty canisters. As the building collapsed, a giant ass titan crawled out and made it's way to the wall. 

Suddenly, Sasha and Connie came out from the rubble. "Are you guys okay?" Sasha asked us.

"We should be asking you that!" I said and she smiled.

They both went back down to show the others the escape route. Armin and I waited by the hole as Moblit stayed with Hanji. Everyone came up one by one. Historia was fist, then Levi, Eren, Jean, Mikasa and lastly Sasha and Connie.

We all got in the wagon, and our horses, following the giant titan. Moblit was leading us in the front, while in the cart was Hanji, Eren and Historia with Armin driving. Jean, Sasha and Connie were riding behind us on horseback. Since there was no other horses and no room in the wagon, I rode with Levi, who was next to the wagon. 

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"I'm fine, you?" he asked.

"Right now? Tired." I said, hugging him tighter. I glanced at Eren in the wagon, I don't know who gave him the shirt, but I was thankful. It was cold.

"Erwin." Levi said, surprising me.

"Any casualties?" Erwin asked us.

"Only Hanji." I said.

"Doesn't look too serious. Well done everyone." Erwin said.

We finally arrived in Orvud District, and we were immediately summoned for the strategy meeting. I walked with Eren and noticed he was staring at me. "Something wrong?" I asked him.

"No.. sorry for all the trouble." he smiled.

"You're always in trouble." I said, yawning. "Hey Eren, try to get into less trouble. It's tiring saving your ass." I said hitting his shoulder and he smiled as we entered the meeting room.
