Female titan

"Captain! Captain Levi!" Eren called out to Levi in a panicked voice.

"What?" Levi answered.

"This is a forest, sir! We have no way of detecting approaching titans this far in with only the center rank! Something seems to be on our right, too. How are we supposed to avoid the titans or protect the wagons now?!" Eren asked.

"Quit whining about the obvious. We can't do any of those things anymore." Levi said.

"B-but why?" Eren asked.

"Eren, look around." I said to him without looking back.

"See all these big ass trees?" Levi asked.

"It's the perfect environment for using our 3DMG" I further expalined.

"Use that middling head of yours to think. Use your brain for once if you don't wanna die." Levi said to him.

".. Yes, sir!" Eren said.

"A black smoke signal?!" Eren said.

"From right behind us!" Gunther said.

"Must be whatever is on the right." Eld said.

"Draw your swords. If it shows itself, we'll only have a moment." Levi ordered all of us. 

Everyone continuously yelled over each other, asking Levi for their orders. "Everyone, cover your ears." Levi said and I saw him take out a sound flare.

I put my head down and covered my ears as Levi shot the flare. I put my hands down and still heard feint ringing in my ears, but I was fine. "Tell me, what is your job again?" Levi asked us. "Is it too simply give in to your emotions of the moment? No it's not." Levi said to them. "This squads mission is to do everything possible to keep this brat unharmed." Levi said looking back at them.

"We'll continue on horseback, understood?" Levi asked.

"Push on? But for how long?!" Eren asked in frustration.

"Eren, look ahead!" Gunther told him.

"Don't fall out of step, maintain top speed!" Eld ordered.

"There is still one left, we can save him!" Eren said.

"Eren, focus ahead and keep moving!" Petra was the next to speak to Eren.

"Are you telling me to abandon my comrades?!" Eren yelled.

"Yes, do as the Captain says." Petra said to him.

"I don't understand why we're letting them die! I don't understand why Captain won't explain anything! Why?!" Eren asked.

I glanced back and saw Eren raising his hand to his mouth. "Eren!" I scolded.

"What are you doing, Eren?!" Petra stopped him.

"You're not in the wrong, if you wanna do it, do it. I can tell. The difference in our experience is why we don't see eye-to-eye. But you don't need to rely on that. Choose. Will you trust yourself, or me, these guys, and the entire Scout Regiment? I don't know the answer to that, I never have. Whether I trusted myself or the choices of my dependable comrades, there was no telling how things would turn out. So, just do the best you can and choose whichever you'll regret the least." Levi said to him.
