"Why aren't we doing anything!?" Kai growled, his arms crossed.
They were all sitting together in the dojo. Master Wu had called for them. He thought that meditate, would have help them. But honestly, he was the first at find it hard.
Zane was lost; now he was just a bunch of scrap metal, inanimate. "Kai.- He said gently. -We can't do anything, to fix this situation, as long as we don't do anything to calm the storm inside of us." The young Master of Fire shook his head. "You can't be serious, Master!- He snapped. -This storm could give us the strength to take them down! We have to try!"
Wu closed his eyes for a few seconds, thinking how to respond. But when he opened them back again, his young student was gone. He heard him cursing everyone and everything, in the courtyard.
"I'll go check on him." Cole offered. He stood up and followed Kai."Kai...are you okay?" He asked, exiting the Monastery. The spike haired boy turned to him. "No! No, how can I be okay!? Zane is not here anymore and so Pixal! But we're doing nothing!" He threw a fire ball up in the sky. It flew for ten or fifteen meters, before exploding over their head. Cole looked as the sparks fell, slowly, back on the ground. Like a shiny, red snow. "The anger won't help you.- He said, after a while. -It will be just an obstacle." He leant a hand on Kai's shoulder, with a sad sigh. "Kai, I know what you feel. You're not the only one who lost Zane, we all love him. And we will do anything to bring him back, but first we have to calm ourself, on the inside. The anger is blinding you and if you're blind, you can't see the enemy." Kai gave him a cold look and smacked his hand away. "I can see very clear, Cole! I'm tired of doing nothing, but meditate and sitting, waiting for nothing! We must do something!" Cole looked down and shook his head. "I see what you're saying, Kai.- He admitted. -I will, normally agree with this point of view, but...but there's a time when we must take different paths, from our family."
"What are you talking about?!"
"I'm saying, just for once, please, do as we say! You always follow your instinct, silencing us. Invert this thing. Listen to us, for this time. Okay?"Kai frowned, while watching as Cole walked back inside.
He hated to admit it, but he may be right. He always followed his instinct. But it never failed! Well, most of the times...a few times...okay, his instinct had failed almost everytime.
But it was different, now! Zane was gone, Pixal was gone. They couldn't use the Destiny Bounty or the mech, or veichles.
Even Cyrus Borg couldn't do anything to help them. Not that he didn't have the projects in his mind, but he didn't have the materials. Or the tools to build as well.
But they weren't unarmed: they still had their weapons, their Elemental Powers and skills. They were still great worriors!
Kai clenched his fists and kicked a small rock, before heading back insde. The two brothers were walking through a dense bamboo forest. The sun shined through the canes, drawing wavy shadows on the wet ground. They were alone, but Krux had insisted for them to wear they're hoods. That was the worst idea! He was soffucating, he couldn't breath and there wasn't a single breath of wind. He was really, really dying.
"I still think it's a stupid idea." Acronix said, looking around, to distract himself from the sensation of fainting. Krux let out a soft chuckle, before stopping and turning to him with a weird grin. "I know, brother. I know your fears, your worries. But you don't have to worry about anything!- Krux said, excited. -I've thought of everything! Nothing can go wrong!" A weird light, glared in his eyes, once again. And once again, it sent shivers down Acronix's spine. He remained silent, listening to the oldest.
Krux took of the hood and breathed deeply. He moved the locks, wet because of the sweat, from his face. "That was...an awful idea." He admitted. Which it was rare. He would never admit that he was wrong!
Acronix followed. He gasped for air. The sweat had made his face sticky. He moved the hair from his face and crossed his arms. "So, why are we here?" He asked, caughting Krux's attention. "I'm glad you asked.- The oldest said. -I, sadly, have figured that we could never win alone. So, I've...modified a bit our plan." The youngest frowned, visibly confused. "What are you talking about?" He asked. Krux signed to follow him.
He guided the youngest away from the path, among the canes and down to what looked like a canyon. The sand was red and it was even hotter, than before. Krux stopped in front of a rock wall, a bright, weird smile on his face. "Why did you bring me here? There's noting but sand! Are you losing your mind, brother?!" Krux waited for his twin to shut up, then looked at him. "Move those rocks.- He asked. -You'll be surprised." The younges time twin left the weapon on the dry, dusty ground, and freed a cave entrance from a few rocks. He worked on it for almost fifteen minutes and when he was finished, he was covered in red sand, sticked to him, because of the sweat. "Thanks for your help." He growled, sarcastically to Krux. The oldest ignored his complaining and entered the cave. Acronix followed him, muttering cursing and trying to clean his clothes.
The cave closed itself immediately, locking them inside. It was dark and the temperature was lower. It was a great sensation; the Twins were both dying, outside under the sun.
"I'm not going to ask you why did you bring me here." The long haired one said, looking around, trying to get used to the darkness. "You really need to shut your mouth more often, you know?!" Krux snapped, lighting a torch on. The fire crackled on the wood, shooting sparks around. Acronix swallowed and looked down, he was hurted by the way he had talked to him. It was the first time. Krux had never talked to him that way. He knew well how fragile he was, then why?
Acronix bit his tongue, feeling his eyes burning for the tears. He didn't want to cry, not for that, even if it hurted. And it hurted bad.
But they were twins and Krux wasn't stupid. He saw how upset his twin had become, because of him. He put the torch on a stand and skewered the katana in the ground. He hugged Acronix and sighed. "I'm sorry, Cron.- He said. -I didn't mean to hurt you." He ran his hand on Acronix's back. The youngest hugged him back, leaning his head on his shoulder. "I know I'm annoying.""Tu no eres molesto! You're not annoying! It's just that I'm nervous, about all of this."
"Quiero ayudarte, hermano. I want to help you, brother."Krux sighed. "I know." He smiled and let him go. "Come with me, I have something to show you!"
With the katana and the torch back in his hands, Krux leaded the way along a rock bridge, over an hoverang. A cold hair blew from down there. They climbed a few rocks, fallen right in the middle of their path. Finally Krux stood proudly in front of those who looked like three coffins, without the cover. "What is that?" Acronix asked, approaching the nearest "coffin".
"You see, brother, as I told you earlier, we will need help, so I've worked on a way to...bring them back." Acronix looked inside and immediately jumped back, falling on the hard ground. "What the..!"
An orange arm rose from the inside. Wait...It wasn't an orange skin! Those were...snakes?!
The...thing sat up and hissed. "Commander Blunck?" Acronix muttered, watching at the Vermillion, standing in front of them, still, unexpressive. From the second coffin, exited another commander. It was bigger than the first and his armour coveres almost half of his face. His left arm had an armour around it as well. He stood next to Blunck. That was Commander Raggmunk.
Acronix stepped back, near his twin. "I've saved the best for last!" Krux explained. He then snapped his fingers. The two commanders turned their head to the third coffin. But nothing came out of it. Krux frowned and marched to it. "Oh c'mon!" He growled. It was empty.
Empty! The best of his commanders was missing! "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!" He shouted.
He froze when a cold tongue hissed near his ear. He turned and sighed in relief; the last of their comanders was standing in front of them. Her arms behind her back. The snakes which composed her hair twisted and hissed, wrapping one around another. "It's good to be back!" She growled. The three commanders bow in front of the twins.
Acronix was still a bit concerned. He was sure that Blunck, Raggmunk and Machia were dead! They had kill them! But...they were still there! How was that possible?! He turned to Krux, but the oldest had a grin painted on his face; he was proud of what he had created!
He didn't care at all that those were exactly like zombie, they were there, ready to answer their orders!
Once the commanders were back, on their erected position, he turned to Acronix. "We are ready to begin!" He said proudly.
