2. The hospital

Harry pov:
I slowly opend my eyes and noticed that I was definitely not on the isle.
It was like... a hospital I suppose?
I looked up and saw that Uma sat next ti me, holding my hand.
"Hey..." she whispered.
"Hey?" I muttered a bit confused.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm not sure... What happend?"
"You passed out... and for some reason that Ben still wanted to help out, so now you're in the Auradon hospital."
Okay, didn even remember the fact that I passed out...
"Are you okay?"
"Again, I'm not sure..."
"Well I am. We've got the test results." a nurse said and the two of us looked up.
"What test results?" I asked and Uma looked at me.
"You're in a hospital because you passed out, yea they took tests to see why you passed out." she said while she rolled her eyes.
The nurse looked at me.
"I do have some badnews."
"Oh goblins..." I muttered.
Uma squeezed my hand a little and I looked at her.
The nurse sighed.
"We found cancer in your blood."
"What?" Uma and I were a bit confused.
"You guys don't know what cancer is?" the nurse asked and I sighed.
"There aren't much medical stuff on the isle..." I muttered and the nurse seemed sorry for saying it like that.
"Cancer is a disease which could be deadly."
"What?!" I said and I shot up.
"Woah easy there... It doesn't have to be. With the right treatments you have a chan e of survival."
"A chance? Just a chance?!" Uma said and she seemed really worried.
"We're not able to tell how the body is going to react on the chemo. After the first few weeks, we will be able to see the progress." the nurse explained.
I looked at her.
"I suppose the chemo is the treatment?" I asked and the nurse nodded.
"Yes, there are a few side effects though, one of my colleagues will fill you in about that. It's not much to worry about, it'll be fine."
I swallowed and the nurse left.
Uma looked at me and I saw the worries in her eyes.
"It'll be fine, right?" I asked and Uma looked at me.
"Let's hope so?"
I knew nothing was for sure on that moment.
And for the first time in years, a tear fell down Uma's cheek.
I sat up and wiped the tear away with my thumb.
I kissed her and she smiled a little.
"You needed that, didn't you?" I asked.
"I think both of us needed that." she said.
"I must ask you to leave, he needs his rest before we start the treatments tomorrow." another nurse said and I got a bit confused.
"I thought someone was gonna say more about the side effects?"
But that nurse just left without a word.
"Okay, I'll come by tomorrow again. Ben kinda makes me go to Auradon prep now..."
"Good luck with that."
She kissed me and she left.
I sighed.
"What the hell are the side effects then?" I muttered.

So the next day started a bit weird.
This male nurse walked in and looked at me.
"Harry Hook?"
I nodded once and he looked at me.
"So we're gonna start your treatments today. Are you ready for it?"
"I guess?"
So then I kinda freaked out because of the fact he had a syringe in his hands.
"What is that?" I asked.
"You need an injection to get your chemo."
I swallowed mostly because I was afraid of needle's...
"Something wrong?" that guy asked and since I wasn't gonna admitt my fear, I just rolled with it as he put the syringe in my arm.
"That was all for today, tomorrow you'll get another one of those." he said and he left.
So that was gonna happen basically everyday? That couldn't be right.

So yea to my suprise Ben came by.
I looked at him.
"What are you doing here?"
"You could be a little more greatfull to me since I got you here and you'd be having cancer and die because of it since you would've not got any treatment."
"Funny... Why did you brought me here? I tried to kill you?"
"This is gonna sound childish but my mom learned me to always help people when I can. I saw that something was wrong and that you needed help."
"I guess I owe you for that..."
"You can pay me back by surviving this mess."
"Trust me, I'll try."
He looked at me.
"Catch."
Obviously, I did.
"Why are you giving me a phone?"
"Could be useful when you're not up for visitors and you want to talk to someone. The numbers of Uma, Mal, Jay, Carlos, Evie and me are added. Uma said that I should asd mine too, even though I thought it was reasonless."
"It's fine... Thanks I suppose..."
"You're not used to thank people are you?"
"Remember the part that I'm from the isle?"
"Right. But I have to get going now, hang in there." and he left.

Uma came by too after a few minutes.
"Hey handsome." she said.
"Hey beautiful." I said and she gave me a kiss.
"So how are you feeling?"
"Like I'm about to throw up..."
"Side effect?"
"Possibly, I'm not sure."
Uma grinned.
"Ben got both of us one." she said when she gestured to my new phone and held up her own.
"I kinda got that part when he said he added your number too."
"Why don't you use it to look for side effects?"
"I can do that later. Like when you're gonna be kicked out by a nurse because I should rest and all that bull."
Uma grinned softly and she took my hand.
"How are you so calm about all this?"
"My dad always taught me to keep a cool face when I was like, fuve years old. When I didn't, he beat me up. That was the last year I've ever cried..."
"Not even when your dad got killed?"
"That was just one tear, I meant really crying."
Uma looked at me and I saw that she was still worried sick.
"So how's Auradon prep?"
"Boring. But easy. Just pick the lame answers and you're a golden student according to fairy godmother."
I grinned.
"Good to know."
"So how was the treatment?"
"One of my biggest fears..."
"Needles?"
"Yea... I need an injection one a day for three weeks long, then like a resting week and then repeat."
"Do you have to stay in the hospital for the whole time?"
"Depends on the progress."
Then I just threw up and a nurse walked in.
"I'll let someone clean that up, don't worry. The chemo is making you feel nauseous."
"Got that part..." I muttered and Uma looked at me.
"Are you okay?"
I still had that nauseous feeling and looked at Uma.
"I'll be fine..."
They told Uma to leave and someone came to clean up my vomit.
I kinda felt bad for that guy, I guessed he was some dort of janitor...
