Mike’s POV
I ran in to Fuckboy’s, I was very excited. Boss had just called me and said that someone was going to take my place on day shift. Even though I hated the night shift with a burning passion, I wanted to spend some time with Jeremy. I was starting to warm up to him, and since he said he wasn’t mad at me made me even happier to become a night guard. It was around 5pm, so my shift didn’t start just yet. The only reason I was here was so I get a different hat along with finding another Freddy head. Heck, I didn’t wanna die. As I entered the pizzeria, kids were sitting down watching the show. I let out a sigh of relief, I wouldn’t have to make my way through god knows how many kids. I silently walked to the back room, trying not to get noticed by the parents or kids there. Once I got in to the back room, I shut the door and was greeted by the old animatronics. I remember these things. I fucking hated them. Bonnie didn’t have a face now, Chica was just standing in the darkness, Foxy was standing as well, and Freddy was kinda hiding. I walked over to a table in the middle of the room hoping to find a Freddy head. Thankfully I did, this place was starting to creep me out. I pretty much bolted out of the parts room and headed for the Employees Only room to get my hat. Tonight things are gonna get real.
Jeremy’s POV
I woke up extremely early. I ran my fingers through my hair as I checked the time. It was around 5pm. I sat up in my bed, my green blankets sliding off my arms. I winced in pain as I ran my fingers over my arms, the cuts were bandaged but I could still feel the sharp pain. As I began to collect my thoughts, my head instantly started whirling with a million thoughts, even though I wasn’t even out of my bed.
Why did Mike think I was mad? Why was I crying? Why did I hug him? Was he blushing when I did? Why does he want to know about my scars? Why did he help me?
I face palmed at all the questions, they were giving me a headache. The last one made me think. I asked myself out loud.
“W-why did Mike help m-me?” I kept on contemplating why he would help me. Pity was the most probable answer. He just pitied me, so he helped me. I sighed, flung my covers off and got dressed in a green hoodie and some jeans. Then I strolled in to my kitchen. I was thirsty and since I knew I wasn’t going back to sleep I put some milk on to boil for hot coca. I left the kitchen and flopped down onto my couch. I realized how little sleep I had gotten and it wasn’t feeling very good. I knew my shift started at midnight so I had about 7 hours. Oh great, now I can stay up and do nothing. I usually wouldn’t sleep often so when I was awake, it took forever for me to get back to sleep. I got up off my couch to go make my coca. As I stirred the powder I told myself that I would try my best to maybe get to know Mike.
*TIME SKIP, DEAL WITH IT*
No One’s POV
Jeremy ran in to the pizzeria, eager to start his shift. As he ran down the halls he heard something. It wasn’t the animatronics because it was only 11:55, so it must have been a person. Boss had already left along with the rest of the staff, so who was it. As Jeremy slowly walked down the hall and into the office he jumped at who he saw. It was Mike and he was sleeping. Jeremy walked up closer to him. He had his hat off, his head was resting on his crossed arms, and his hair was all messed up. Jeremy’s eyes softened as he stared at Mike. Jeremy jumped as a loud chime sounded. It was already time for his shift, but this time he had to protect Mike as well as himself.
Jeremy’s POV
Oh great, Mike was asleep and I didn’t want to wake him. I didn’t know why he was here, but I didn’t want to get him killed. I picked up the tablet and immediately started flipping through the cameras. Everyone was still on the stage so I was safe for now. I winded up the music box just to be safe. I glanced at the clock and it was only 12:23. It was going to be a very long night. I nearly jumped out of my chair as I heard a phone ring. There was a phone on the desk. I looked at it and was going to pick it up but there was a note that said don’t answer. So I didn’t pick it up. After about a minute the call went to voice mail.
“Uhh, hello? Hello, hello.” I listened as this guy on the phone told me pretty much everything Mike had told me last night. He hung up after telling me he would call tomorrow. I sighed and flipped through the cameras. Toy Bonnie was missing and so was Foxy. Great. I picked the flashlight and flashed it down the hall. Foxy was at the very end of it, so I kept on flashing and eventually he went away. It was around 1:30 now. As I wound the music box I heard a loud scream, followed by panting. My head whipped around expecting to see an animatronic, but instead I saw Mike awake and now full out panting.
Mike’s POV
I entered the office at around 11:40. Jeremy hadn’t showed up yet so I rested my head on my arms. As I sat in silence around me, I realized how exhausted I was. I started to slowly drift off into sleep. The last thing I heard was a faint laugh.
Mike’s Dream POV
I was running. For some reason I was outside running. The rain pounded on my body, seeping into me with the coldness of ice. I ran past cars and people. They weren’t moving. It felt like time was frozen. I could feel my legs running faster and faster as I ran to…an apartment complex. This one seemed familiar though. As I bolted inside I realized that this was where Jeremy lived! I hadn’t seen the inside of this place, but somehow I knew each detail, as if I had been here before. I ran up some stairs before entering a small apartment, glass shards were everywhere, holes in the walls, and blood all over the floor. I followed the blood into a small room, where a boy lay on the ground, bleeding to death. As I dropped to my knees I immediately knew it was Jeremy. He was barely breathing. I start crying as I looked over his body, glass all over his wrists, cuts everywhere, and blood trickling out of his mouth. I felt my blood go cold as Jeremy’s breath came to a stop……
Annnnd back to awake Mike’s POV
I started screaming at the terrifying nightmare I had just had. I started panting, holding back tears. I felt a hand on my shoulder and when I turned to see who it was I was met with a gentle face. It was Jeremy, looking very concerned. My first instinct was to hug him, he was alive! I tried to hold back my tears, but they came anyway. I started crying in Jeremy’s arms.
Jeremy’s POV (Sorry I keep switching on you guys)
I turned to see Mike shaking, panting and near tears. I touched his shoulder hoping to calm him down. He literally flung his arms around me as he hugged me while sobbing. Whatever he dreamt about must have been bad. I remember when I would have nightmares. My mom would comfort me by saying gentle words and holding me close. I decided to do what she did. I can still remember her gentle voice. I held Mike close and said in my gentlest voice the most comforting words I’ve heard in years.
“Shhh, it’s OK. They can’t hurt you now. It’ll be alright. You’ll be fine.” The last word I said made me even cry a bit, because I’ve haven’t heard it in so long.
“I’m here, you’re safe now.”
