Mike’s POV
Oh great now another kid to teach. I hated teaching these guys, and from the way this kid looked he wouldn’t even last a night. I walked past the stage, crowded with screaming kids and pushed open a door that said management. The noise from the stage still echoed through the door. It was giving me a headache. I was in a small room, filled with papers, a desk, a couple posters, and a few newspapers on the desk. Finally I cleared my throat to get the attention of Boss who was reading one of the papers.
“Ahem.” Boss looked up and smiled.
“Ah Mikey, what can I do for you boy?” I was going to snap at him for calling me Mikey, but I kept my mouth shut. I pointed to the door with one hand in my pocket replying.
“There’s a kid here who wants the job of night guard. You want to bring him in here?” Boss raised his eye brows and set his hands on his desk. He just sat there and smugly asked.
“You think he’s up for it? I don’t want to have another dead guard on my hands.” He narrowed his eyes at that last comment. I shrugged.
“He might make it, but he looked like he’s more on the anti social side. I don’t think he’ll last, but we can’t go another night without a guard.” I bluntly thought. Please don’t say bring him in, Ug I’ve only known the kid for a few seconds and I already don’t like him.
Boss stayed silent for a moment and then happily spoke.
“You bring up a good point Mike. Bring him in!”
Shit.
“Fine.” I mumbled as I turned around and pushed the door open. The loud ass music hit me again and made me start to get a headache. How can kids stand those things?! I calmly walked pass the stage, around the kids. Freddy was wrapping up a song. Thank god, the kids would still be annoying but at least I wouldn’t have to hear the annoying music. All it was, was a voice box shrieking random crap about pizza and parties. I spotted the kid in the same spot he was a couple minutes ago, he looked nervous. Yep, this kid won’t last.
I walked up to him and told him to come with me. He just looked down as he nodded his head in response and followed me obediently to Boss’s office.
No One’s POV
Jeremy silently followed Mike through the flurry of kids who were now running around playing tag, or going to see their mothers. After what seemed like forever they reached Boss’s office. Mike pushed open the door and walked in with Jeremy close behind. Boss saw them come in. Jeremy looked up as Boss spoke.
“Welcome to Freddy’s Kid. So I heard you wanted a job as a night guard. Correct me if I’m wrong.”
Mike glanced at Jeremy as he replied.
“U-uh yeah, I was hoping to g-get the job.” Mike rolled his eyes at the kids stuttering.
Boss nodded and replied.
“Well then you got the job kid, what’s your name?” Jeremy jumped at the fact he got the job. That’s it. That wasn’t as bad as I thought! Jeremy thought.
“Uh Jeremy sir.” Boss smiled.
“Well then just come at 11:30 tonight so Mike can train you.”
Wait what?! Mike thought.
“Uhh ok then, I’ll see you at 11, goodbye!” Jeremy rushed out the door feeling confident.
Mike’s POV
He didn’t just fucking dare! Mike glared at Boss.
“Why are you making me train him!?” Mike snapped. Boss replied, sounding a bit stern.
“You have the most experience Mike. Besides you brought him to me, you train him.”
“Bu-“ Boss cut him off.
“Do it or I cut your pay!” Boss knew he had won. Mike’s eyes widened and mumbled a few curse words. He walked out of Boss’s office, flipping him off.
