Chapter Seven

A while later myself and Catherine and my dad were sat outside a different café talking and I couldn't get over the fact Catherine was in Paris the whole time and no one knew incept for Elise.

"So how come you fled to Paris Catherine." I asked as Catherine sipped her coffee.

"A change Amber." Catherine said as I nodded my head and I looked over at my dad who's sat in between me and Catherine with his back against the wall looking on to the road of the café we were sat at.

"But what happened to you?" I asked as Catherine looked down at the floor her look facial expression changed from smiling to upset.

"I got into the wrong crowd Amber." Catherine said as she slips her dirty brown hair behind her left ear.

Catherine had everything going for her, she had the toned body and the long and glorious brown locks that were silky and shiny and she was the sort of girl guys would love to have on their arms because she was arm candy. She had a perfect GPA and was going to an amazing university which is the same me and Elise went to Oxford. Now she's a glimmer of what she used to be and as I looked at her she had no emotion in her eyes, she was skinny like you could see her bones underneath her skin, I was in shock as Elise and her mum would let Catherine become this person.

Catherine stood up quickly, grabbed her bag and she drank the last bit of her coffee and she placed the cup down on the table and looked at me and my dad with a sincere look.

"I have to go now....Nice meeting you again Amber and Richard." Catherine said as she ran off towards the building, I sighed deeply.

"I guess it's just us now dad." I said as my dad chuckled and he looked at me.

"I'm sorry Amber." My dad said as the words stung me hard hitting my cold heart and spiking my cold blood that was running through my body.

"You are?" I asked thinking it can't be true and why would my dad say that. "I have to go." I said as I stood up.

"Here is my number Amber." My dad said as he wrote his number down a napkin and he handed the napkin to me and smiled at me.

"Thank you dad!" I said as I took the napkin and walked off back to my hotel.

The minute I entered the hotel. I saw Giles and I frowned at him and kept on walking towards the lift and I pressed the up button. I sighed deeply as Giles stood beside me.

"Where have you been?" Giles asks as I turned to face him

"Out!" I said as the lift doors opened up and I stepped inside the lift.

"But where out?" Giles said as he followed me inside the lift.

"Just out and about Giles!" I said as I wasn't going to tell Giles where I was or whom I saw today because in my eyes it has nothing to do with him at all.

"You would tell me Amber?" Giles said as I smiled at him but on the inside I was dying to glare at him.

The lift doors open to the floor my room is on and I step out of the lift and give Giles a little smile as the doors close on him as I make my way to my room. I open my suite door and I see Mathew sat on the bed with his stuff packed and I sigh deeply and close the door behind me not wanting to a chat with Mathew who patiently waiting for me on the bed.

"Mathew I'm sorry." I said as I placed the napkin on the table under two books so Mathew wouldn't find it.

"I don't want to hear it Amber anymore." Mathew said as he rose up from the bed and he sighed deeply.

"I knew I shouldn't off come here and get back together with you and propose to you because it's not worth the pain anymore Amber." Mathew added as he picked his suitcases up and he opened the suite door.

"I'm sorry Mathew.....please don't leave me again." I said as I started to cry and I got down on my knees in front of Mathew.

I am letting myself be vulnerable to a guy who was going to walk out on me like I was nothing to him maybe in Mathew's eyes I was nothing to him but for first time in my life I was begging Mathew my fiancée to stay with me after everything we've been through. He walked away from me and leaving me vulnerable.
