Shana lied in her bed without any emotion. She was laying there for the whole day, her feet bandaged but she could feel no pain.
'Now I've to do what I'm here for.. I'm a court dancer... I should know my level' Shana whispered to herself.
Soon the darkness embraced the sky. There was no moon that night neither any star. She didn't lit her room. Maybe because she thought that darkness could only strengthen her. Maybe once she believed that light but it shattered that's why she needs darkness.
But in that pitch dark too she longed towards the terrace. Hoping that maybe he'll come, clear all her doubts and misunderstandings, tell her all his secrets and let her accept him.
But time passed and no one came. Slowly Shana also closed her eyes, dreaming and feeling the warmth. She felt as if someone like home embraced her and kissed her forehead. In that mysterious hug she slept the most peaceful sleep since she came here.
Soon the sun came out, it was a new day but there wasn't any simle on the angel's face. She called for Shehnuba and asked her for a nice bath and face packs.
She gave her legs all the rest they need and without any emotion just nurtured her till she was completely fine.
Like that a week passed, it was already evening. The palace was lit in a different mood. Shehnuba was combing Shana's hair.
'Ye Allah just look at my dear Shana, her smile is no more on her face... why gave her so much of hardships?' She looked at Shana with sorrow in her eyes.
'No aunt no.. it was my foolish mistake and now I just want to earn enough money to sustain my family and leave this place'
'Yes that should be your sole target but don't be like that.. you look like a flower who forgot to bloom.. dear...'
'Maybe that's true. I'm getting late aunt please help me with the ornaments too'
Shehnuba helped Shana get ready. She was wearing a red dress which was perfectly dazzling on her. Her lips were tainted red with bold kohl under her eyes. She wore silver on her body and covered her face with a semi transparent veil.
'Remember you are just a dancer that doesn't mean you need to sell your body too.' Shehnuba again warned Shana.
'Yes I know.'
She walked to the dance hall where all the princes were sitting round the hall and at a higher place was sitting the crown prince, shehzade Ali. The prince was sitting behind a big white veil.
Though nobody could see his face clearly but could sense the level of anger emited from behind the veil. Even Shana could sense it, she felt weak at her knees but that didn't stop her from doing what she came there for.
The music started playing and slowly with that music her ringing bells also tuned. Her movements were sharp and clean but none dared to look at her.
As if they will be beheaded if they try to take a short glance too. But that didn't matter to her all she did was danced till the music was playing.
And suddenly there was a clashing sound, the music stopped suddenly. And a roar from behind the veil was heard.
'SHE TRIED TO DISOBEY THE ROYALTY! EVERY SINGLE ONE PRESENT HERE LEAVE EXCEPT SHANA!' Ali roared in his rage.
No one uttered a single word and left. Shana was standing there in the middle of the hall shivering. Not a single guard, single maid, musician or prince was there to help her from Ali.
The veil was removed and a huge strong figure was standing there. Ali's eyes were throwing daggers at Shana. He started walking towards her. The nearer he came the more Shana could see his handsome face, his dark eyes, his ticking jaws and raging anger.
He stood right infront of Shana and asked in his husky tone filled with anger,'Don't you remember what I ordered you?'
'What?' Shana looked straight into his eyes in a cold way.
'I told you to be my personal dancer and not perform infront of anyone else.'
'But I don't remember that I was hired here for that.'
'ENOUGH SHANA! WHY ARE YOU BEHAVING LIKE THAT?!'
'I'm not! You are being unreasonable! I'm just a mere dancer and no one to you!'
Ali looked at her with wide eyes silently. Shana continued.
'So it's better like this.. let's act as if nothing happe-'
Before she could say anymore Ali pulled her into his arms. Embracing her tightly in his arms. She could hear her heartbeat faster and faster as if he was getting more anxious.
'Please don't continue further... I can bear anything but not this.. please Shana... give me some time...'
'Why?... why can't you bear this separation?'
'B-because... I... I love you... Shana...'
Shana clenched on his embroidered coat tightly, as if she skipped a beat as if these were the words she waited to here.
Ali let her go a little bit and looked directly into her eyes.
'Please give me some time.. 'cause I want... no not want... I'll give you the best!'
Shana's eyes got widen on hearing this. Warm temptations ran down her cheeks. As her Ali Sahab promised her to give the best.
To be Continued...Author's note - What do you think Shana will forgive him this easily? Nd what will Shehnuba do if she finds out 'bout this??
