Xan made sure to get to his robotics class early the following day. Thoughts of Jah had occupied his mind throughout the previous night, even when he'd tried to shake it off. He wasn't sure if men could get butterflies or not, but he had some whenever he was around Jahsae...scratch that, he had several.
Unfortunately his health had other plans, as he began to feel lightheaded shortly after Jah walked into class. It felt like the room was spinning beneath his feet.
Jah noticed Xan excuse himself and leave class, and became a little worried. Although he'd deny it if anyone asked, but he'd arrived to this particular class earlier than usual just to get a glance of the other boy. Jah hoped he was okay though, he seemed a bit down.
Shrugging it off, Jah redirected his focus back to the teacher.
Later Jah decided to go speak to his coach who had sent for him earlier...only to find Xander asleep on the couch in his dad's office. He stood there awkwardly for a bit, unsure of what to do. Should he just leave? The coach wasn't in the office, so that would be the right move— right?
But before he could decide, Xander's eyes flew open. Then he smiled sweetly at Jah. "Hey. I'm not dreaming, am i?" He asked drowsily. He was on some meds that were still wearing off.
Jah smiled back. "Not unless I am too. Are you okay? I saw you leave the class earlier, and I was a bit worried."
Xander's smile grew even bigger. "You were worried about meee?" He slurred, making Jah laugh.
"You coming off something?"
Just then the coach walked in before Xan had a chance to embarrass himself further.
"Shouldn't you be in class?" Coach Bailey asked Jah, in his usual unamused tone.
"It's lunch break, and Xavien said you wanted to see me." Jah replied.
"Ah yes. But you're going to have to come back after school, this isn't a good time."
"Okay." Jah waved at Xan and exited the office.

Xan saw Jah again after school a few hours later. The male was walking out of the school premises with Coco, his jersey hugging his lean frame nicely. By this time Xan's system was clear of the meds that had him floating earlier. He had a vague recollection of the embarrassing conversation he'd had with Jah, but he didn't care as much as he'd thought he would.
Xan's leaning against the wall, waiting for Xavien. He had been mildly irritated because Xavien was fond of keeping him waiting long after the close of school. He'd had a long day, and wanted to be in his bed so bad. But all that irritation dissipated the moment he spotted Jah strolling up to him, a lazy smile tugging at his lips.
"Hey," Jah says, fingers reaching out and sliding across Xan's cheek briefly. Xan's belly did a huge thing that he managed to hide well. Because what was that touch?
"I was hoping I'd run into you." Jah added. Coco had gone ahead to wait in the car, so they had some privacy to talk.
"Yeah? Why?" Xander responded coolly, sliding his hands into his jeans pockets because he didn't know what to do with them.
"Yeah," Jah breathed out a chuckle. "I was gonna ask X for your number, but I've noticed he turns into a shark whenever you're brought up."
Xan swallowed nervously. He wasn't too familiar with the art of flirting. But was Jahsae flirting with him? Or was the meds still in effect after all?
