"Who's the chocolate?"

"Which one?"

"Nineteen. He is hot. He and 23 can run a train on me anytime."

"Jahsae Barskdale. And 23 is the coach's son X, he is fine tho."

Xander clears his throat loudly, dragging the sound out until the two girls in front of him look back with matching glares, he may have threw up in his mouth a little bit.

This all he's been hearing since he got here, if this is how it's going to be till the end then nope, seat change.
Maybe he should go seat close to his mom and Lola? But they scream too much, and he's been feeling a little ill the past couple of days, and he doesn't want his family to know. They're fussing enough as it is, anymore would just drive him up the wall.
But before he could make up his mind about changing his seat Timmy sat down on the left of him, with a handful of snacks.

"What are you doing here? I thought you said football was as confusing as why 'knife' is spelled with a k?" Xan asked him.

"I mean yeah, but I couldn't bear the thought of leaving you to the wolves by yourself. Now tell me, who's winning? And where's the ball supposed to go?"

Xander smiled and shook his beard, then began to fill his friend in.

Not long after that Coco showed up. "Scoot nerd." She told Timmy and he practically flew to the other side of Xan.

Then the girls in front resumed their rather loud drooling.
Xander just sighs. This is the first game he's attending a game since he moved here and he has heard similar things non-stop since the pep rally a few days ago. It doesn't make him mad, because it is true. Jah looks good with his shoulder pads and the jersey stretched across his chest. And those spandex pants, the one that clings to the curve of his ass and outlines his muscular thighs – those are going to be the death of Xan.
So yeah, he gets it.

Coco follows his gaze and smiled. "The trick is to ignore them and focus on the game, folks don't play about their football around here. But I assure you, as soon as those jersey's are off they're back to unimpressive to them bitches out front." The girls in front turned to serve Coco a glare and was met with a middle finger awaiting them.

Xan shoves her playfully. "Stop they scare me. Plus I'm not really worried."

"Are you sure? I'm pretty sure i heard the sound of you clearing your throat from the parking lot miles away." Timmy commented, taking out some sugary snack. He offered Coco one, then awkwardly shrank down on his seat when she shot daggers at him.

Xan studied them and chuckled. Coco was always mean to Timmy but Xan thinks it's intentional and that she actually finds him adorable. Although that may just be his 'cup half full' side acting out.

When Xan had found out Timmy likes Coco the previous week, not only was he shocked that his friend is straight, he also wondered 'why Coco'? She's so out of his league.

Xan ignores them both, eyes finding Jah on the field. He is running, cleats snatching into the turf as he takes off, head turning in the other direction at the ball zooming through the air. Their eyes meet briefly at some point and Jah winks at him and looks away.
Xan hasn't seen him in days, and he is trying to get over the sad feeling settled in his gut because of it. This is just a friendly game before the main one the entire town has been waiting on, but apparently the world would come to a halt if Jah missed practice for one day. But at least they could spend some time together tonight, seeing as it's Friday and Jah's parents are on a business trip.
