Back to present time: sasuke's pov

We were walking down the streets of the village not really knowing what to do till this afternoon for lunch. We went to different shops and looked at random things they were selling. Naruto never stopped talking but I was ok with it, it was better than silence. I couldn't help but notice how Naruto avoided some of the shops. When I asked he just brushed it off and changed the subject, it bothered me but Naruto wouldn't let anything slip.

We were walking down the street that Naruto's apartment used to be on when he lived alone. Naruto looked more nervous since we turned on the street, while we walked Naruto stopped talking as much. I looked around us and saw people glaring and talking in hushed voices. I narrowed my eyes at Naruto but he kept his eyes forward seemingly ignoring the looks.

"Look, the demons back"

"Great I thought when he left he would never come back"

"I wish they threw him out when they had the chance"

"I cant believe that monsters still alive"

I was sickened by all the whispers, is this really how they thought of the person that saved their home multiple times. I looked at Naruto and I know he can hear them if I could. I glared at all the people that had spoken as we walked by. It seemed to shut them up and cower away if we walked by so I was satisfied, well for now, if I hear another whisper about Naruto I might just go after the next poor soul that looks at us.

"I cant believe the demon is with the heir to the Uchiha clan"

I walked slower this time, listening in.

"The monster probably forced the heir to be with it"

I growled under my breath, how have I never noticed these village idiots talking about my Naruto. Wait why is he mine?

"Quiet down, the demon could kill us if we anger him"

One of them hissed and I saw Naruto flinch, the talking finally making him crack. I stopped in my tracks, "he wouldn't harm a fly, but me on the other hand, wouldn't mind killing a few nobody's" I said in a dark tone. They gasped as I glared at them with my sharingan flaring letting a menacing smirk cross my lips. Before I could really do anything but lean closer I felt a hard flick on the side of my head, "what do you think you're doing teme, do you want to get into more trouble!" Naruto yelled.

The two villagers ran away as I turned towards him, he was glaring at me. I myself was satisfied by driving those scum away, "why'd you do that, you're already in trouble with the council and threatening villagers won't help!" he said almost yelling. I grumbled, "they were talking about us and it made me angry ok" i said defensively crossing my arms continuing to walk. He followed close behind, "that doesn't give you the go ahead to threaten them, I've dealt with them all my life i can deal with them without your help" he said with a little edge in his voice. It made me angry and confused as to why they treat him like this, even after everything he's done for them.
