Next day: sasuke's pov

I felt my body slowly waking up, once again I had a good dream which made me relieved. I could feel Naruto's arms around me protectively still but this time he was on my chest, it's like he learns in his sleep how to keep the person in the bed. I sighed remembering what he had said yesterday morning, and walking through the village I understood fully what he had meant. It was sickening what this village has done to him.

They had hurt the poor blonde so much that it seems he has trouble sleeping soundly, which made me angry and guilty. I could have helped, all I had to do was be a little nicer, hell actually be a better friend and i could have helped Naruto even a little bit. But instead i was to blind to the fact of my feelings and ignored Naruto's suffering, went as far as to try and kill him not once but multiple times. It's still baffling how he still considers me someone to worry over let alone let me be so close to him. This makes me feel like I have a second chance I don't even deserve. That's why now that I'm back and trying to get my head on straight i want to cherish and rebuild what i had broken, and if he would let me i want to return the feelings he had confessed to me if there was still any of those feelings left in him. I sighed and played with his hair while he slept, looking as peaceful as ever.

After a good hour of laying there not wanting to get up leaving him alone I had to wake him because it was soon time that we met sakura. It was Saturday, and we had promised on the mission that we would meet up and train together on Saturdays. I gently shook his shoulders and he just snuggled into my chest holding on to me tighter. I shook him a little harder and he groaned, "nu~, don wanna get up~, finally good slep~" he slurred out scooting up and hiding his face in my neck. I shivered as his hot breath hit my neck and I sighed. "Get up dobe we promised sakura and Sai we would meet up on Saturdays and if we sleep any longer we'll be late" i said and he mumbled incoherent words. After another minute he lifted his head, his eyes half lidded and looked at me. He was inches away from my face and I could feel the blush creeping in.

He groaned rolling off of me, I got up out of the bed already missing the warmth of the bed. I looked back and Naruto had rolled over and was back asleep holding the pillow I had been laying on. I groaned inwardly at having to wake the cutie but I didn't want to feel Sakura's wrath right now. I got back on the bed shaking Naruto but all he did was groan and swat my hand gently off his shoulder. "You got to get up, you lazy dobe," I said, taking my pillow from him which made him whine and go search for it. "Sasuke~ give back~" he said sleepily but i just smirked, "fine," I said before hitting him at full force in the face with it. He jumped up surprised before giving a half-assed glare. I just gave him a smirk before getting off the bed and going to my room with a very angry Naruto yelling profanities after me for ruining his sleepy state.

I just rolled my eyes letting myself smile before going into my room to change. I just changed into a simple short sleeve shirt and shorts before walking out to see Naruto eating a cup of ramen already dressed. After we both ate something and planned to go shopping after training we headed to training ground seven where we said we would meet and saw Sakura and Sai already there. While we approached, Sakura seemed to be yelling at him with a furious blush on her face while Sai was just sitting there looking smug. Upon seeing us her yelling stopped but the blush stayed as she just "hmphed" towards Sai. Yamato was also there coming out of the other side of the woods. Once we were all together sakura spoke up, "since Kakashi is always late let's just start now," she said putting her hands up but her comment was short lived when they heard a very manly yelling coming from the path that me and Naruto just took. Soon from the dust ran out Kakashi and a very hyped up gai-sensei who was doing all the yelling.
