-warning starting point!-
At the age of ten, Izuku began his vigilante journey. All Might's words mocked him, and Katsuki's drove him to walk. One building, in particular, called to him. A dull, worn-out black hoodie two sizes too big hung on his feminine figure, another fault in his DNA. Long dark blue jeans with scraped knees clung to his legs, with bright red sneakers hitting the pavement. Hands stuffed into his hoodie's front pocket, head hanging low. Izuku kicked any stones in his path, face sober.
He'd left his apology on his desk but had made the time to truly enjoy his mother's company. He knew this was wrong, but it just didn't seem to get any better.
"Help!!!" A scream erupted, slicing through the eerie night silence.
Izuku's head whipped around, he should have gotten whiplash. He sprinted full speed towards the noise, heart pounding. Mind screaming 'why! You shouldn't be doing this! We don't owe them anything!' however, his spirit and heart disagreed. Pushing him faster and further.
A woman dressed in a fine red dress was pressed up against a wall. A male, with alcohol in his system, stood, pressing her up against the wall. A predatory grin on his lips whilst the woman quivered like a caught bunny. Her head whipped towards his direction before whipping it back to her attacker. The man's hands were creeping under her clothes, with desperation clear she shouted at Izuku.
-End of the warning-
"Please do something, mister!"
The attacker appeared confused by the women's sudden cry but realized too late. Izuku had crept up behind him. A small used tin was his choice of weapon. SMASH! The tin left a large dent in the male's skull, causing him to collapse.
"Are you okay?" Izuku turned his full attention to the women.
"Yes, thank you. I don't know what I could have done without your help." The woman bowed.
"You should call the cops." Izuku said, turning to walk out of the alleyway.
"Wait! What is your name!"
Izuku turned his head to look back, a sad smile plagued his face. "It doesn't matter." Just like that, Izuku was sprinting away from the scene.
Heart in his throat, body visibly shaking. He just saved someone's life again, yet he wasn't a hero. He was useless, yet he saved them? So how exactly does this work?
Izuku was strolling throughout the night, muttering to himself.
"Hello, there young man! Could I ask for your help with something?" An elderly man pleaded.
"Oh, sure mister." Izuku nodded.
-An hour later-
"Thank you so much, young man. You are a real hero!" Mr.McGough smiled.
"Oh, it was nothing really. I'm just grateful I could be of help to you!" Izuku grinned back.
"You shouldn't put yourself down so much. You are worth more than you could think." Mr.McGough complimented.
A little while later and Izuku waved goodbye. Taking himself home for some much-needed rest and reflection.
"You will be an amazing hero, young man!" A blush crept onto his cheeks.
"Goodbye, Mr.McGough! I come around tomorrow to help again!" Midoriya called back, leaving the elderly man to sigh reminiscing on their meeting.
