Severus and Lucius

N I N E

Severus woke up, not ready for the day. He was sure that the whole day would be him getting made fun of by his students. He was sure that the news had already made it around the whole school.

Lucius had already left the house. He had plans to meet with Narcissa to talk about what they are gonna do with the old manor. 

When Severus got downstairs he saw a table filled with food. As he walked closer he saw that there was a letter at the end of the table. He reached for the letter and in very neat handwriting it said, 

       Dear Severus,                                                                                                                                                                                   I am aware of your and my father's relationship, so is the whole school. Most don't really care. They are definitely shocked but don't care. My friends and I decided to send you guys a nice breakfast. With the help of Dobby, of course. I would like to congratulate you and Mr. Malfoy.

Severus was so embarrassed. He couldn't imagine how weird it must be for Draco, his godfather dating his dad. He picked up a bagel and left to go to work.

When he arrived he saw Remus, again. Severus was begging to think that Remus just waited for him every morning. 

"Hello, Severus," Remus said.

"Hi," Severus really couldn't deal with anyone today.

"So, are you ready? Everyone knows." 

"I'm well aware of that, Remus." Severus' patience was growing low.

"I'm sure everything will be fine."

"Of course it will. I'm leaving now because I'm really not in the mood to talk about how all the students are gonna think of me as a huge fool." Severus said walking away and leaving a very confused and worried Remus. 

"No, they won't. Trust me I've been there." Remus shouted to Severus while he continued to walk away towards the castle.

Remus stood there, thinking back to when all his students found out about Sirius. It was during Harry's fifth year. It wasn't really a problem except for a few people who still didn't believe that Sirius didn't kill all of those people. It all ok in the end, just like it would be for Severus. 

Severus continued up the path to the castle. When he reached the castle doors he paused. He was ready, he would be fine. He walked in and all eyes turned to him. Suddenly he felt a little less fine. 

"Congratulations professor." An eight-year Gryffindor said in a joking voice.

"Detention," Severus said staring right at him. The corridor got even quieter. 

Severus turned to the other Gryffindor standing next to him. She was clearly holding back a laugh.

"He was just trying to be nice, can't you just be a little mor-" The girl started. 

"Detention, both of you," Severus said. 

The two Gryffindors turned to each other, very annoyed. 

"I'll see both of you in my office during lunch." 

Severus turned on his heel and quickly walked to his first class. He seemed to be in an even worse mood than he was before Lucius. Now he was just plain scary.

I was gonna make this chapter a little longer, then I decided not to. I'm super tired and I wanted to update but I don't want to write. Anyways this story is getting very close to done, probably a few more chapters.
