ARRANGEMENT

''I don't want to, why do you force me in the first place ?'' I objected

why do they always want me to do what they want ? , I'm not a kid anymore they never supported me on the things I want to pursue, I hated my situation because the more I age they become more strict and more capable of making me follow them, I never hated my family but I can say they are the worst people I ever met they treat their children as an employee, I can't even remember the last time my parents hug me or cheer me up or they did not really done it once, they were full of ambitions and greed they just follow what they want to do but what do I expect my grandparents are the ones who started it, arrange marriage normally happens in the family but I'm different I don't want to consider it normal no matter what the reason is

''it's just a marriage not the end of the world'' mom snarled

''regardless, can you just excempt me on this one, I'll take medicine if you'll cancel this'' I uttered sighing playing with my fingers, feeling nervous on what will she say

''I can't, this marriage will contribute to the entire family and I can't take it back'' she said without looking at me

''why does it have to be me?''I tried to spoke, she faced me while crossing her arms on her chest she approach me ''mom, I don't want the marriage'' I brittlely added

she held my face and put her fakest smile she can possibly show but I already know how sugar coated it is ''Gia, but you have to do this wether you 'hate' it '' she said in a falsely sweet voice, I can already feel my eyes building up it's own tears but I just can't cry in front of her because I know how much She hated seeing me cry ''I can't arrange Daniel besides, the Park family has an only son'' she continued and I held her hand and started to cry

''mom, please....... I don't want to marry the person I don't love, I am beggin-

a hard slap hit across my face, I held it as I struggle to hold back my tears

it hurts, it destroys me a lot

''fix that attitude of yours, get change'' she toneless said and walk away

''I'm happy to see you Mr. park it's been a while'' my mom shook their hands ''come in, welcome to our humble home'' 

I was looking at their direction when my mom glared at me as a sign to greet them, her face quickly changed when she face them, I hesitantly approach them and bowed as a sign of respect and quickly bent over my head

''I'm sorry about that it's just that my daughter is really a shy person, she is a complete introvert'' my mom reasoned out

that's because you never let me to have friends with the people that I want to be with

''I can see, she's beautiful just like you'' the same age as my mom said, my mom laughed and told them ''who coulde could else it be?''

''by the way where is your son, is he coming?''

''I'm here'' a guys suddenly entered, he is only wearing casual clothes and I can already feel how will they react, I saw his father's face in disappointment same with his mom and the awkwardness really hit me

''this is my son Jay, Jay this is Ms. seon jin and her daughter gia'' his mom introduce but his face did not even change, he is still emotionless and just lowly bowed to my mom 

he must hate it also

''gia, why don't you start to know each other'' my mom said happily but I already know what she want me to do and if I am not going to start or open the conversations she'll scold me bad after the leave

''silly, Jay should be the one who will start the conversations right Jay?'' his mom said, he did not even flinch but what his mom said

''I'm gia'' I awkwardly offer my hand to him to shake but it seems that he is completely  not interested to get friends with me

''I know you hate this marriage  and the fact that I can see it don't worry I don't want to get marry to someone I barely know- '' I tried to open up

''this is absurd'' he cutted me off, I was puzzled for a moment ''for all off the people why would it be you?'' he muttered, but I heard it

''excuse me..'' I said trying to be calm as possible

''you could have told your mom that you don't want to marry and now your telling me you don't want to marry me are you really trying to waste my time'' he said sounded angry and I don't even know where he got those assumption

''why are you blaming it to me, why don't you blame your parents for this they are the one who want the marriage in the first place or you just want to show yourself as a good son are you that desperate enough to show them that you follows what they ask you to?'' I said almost crying

but then he look at me in angry eyes that I realized what I said and now I am being a loser trying to show my insides in him whithout knowing  the truth

''look, I'm sorry-

''You don't know me so stop blabbering nonsense'' he tightly said before walking away

Jay's POV

''what did you say?, can you repeat it again'' jake asked while playing a video game

''you guys are not listening'' I throw out the remote and lazily lay on sunghoon's bed ''I'm engaged'' I recalled, I heard the video game announced 'game over' 

''what?, to whom'' jake asked again and I just shrugged don't want to talk about her ''they cannot be serious'' he muttered 

''are we invited?'' sunghoon suddenly asked without looking at us he only cares about his goddamn book

''what kind of question is that?'' jake burst out in laugh, I can't help but to get annoyed by these two idiots

''I need to get rid of this quickly'' I put my palms on my face ''where is heesung hyung?'' I suddenly ask to get rid about the topic

''he's at the coffee shop nearby school'' jake answered

''what-

''surprising isn't it?'' jake laugh ''he said that he rather die than to drink coffee, he almost ended our friendship because of coffee and he said he extremely hates it''

''that guy is unpredictable'' I commented ''hey, what happen to the girl you said you are going to hit before'' I look at jake with a teasing smile and I can see how his cheeks went red

''aaaaaaaaahhhh that is so disgusting you are fluttering, seriously'' I tease

''yah- I heard she punches guys that is why I did not put on my move yet, tch pabo'' he reasoned ''why not ask the guy over there'' he suddenly point sunghoon who is busy reading his book that is now glaring at jake

''yah- did you know what, it was valentines I was looking for him when I saw him alone staring at the cakes his admirers sent and I joked that why not eat all of then but he unexpectadly told me that he want a choco flavor '' jake was laughing while pointing out sunghoon and I can't help but laugh 

sunghooon try to hit jake with pillow when jake rushed to me and started to hit the both of us when the door suddenly opened revealing jungwon

''aisshhhh, are you still kids?'' 

I threw the pillow at him
