Chapter 16 - Sophie POV

I just stared. Stared straight at him. And he stared straight back at me. No one moved. No one spoke. You could hear a pin drop. The only person who wasn't phased by Keefe was Elwin, who was bandaging my leg. When he was done with my leg he finished wrapping my arm with the bandages, before going to his shelf with all his medicine and filling a tray for me.

"Lets go wait outside." I heard Edaline whisper to Grady, and Della, Alden, and Dex's parents followed them out.

Now the only people in the room included me, Keefe, Fitz, Biana, Tam, Linh, Dex, Wylie, Marella, Mr. Forkle, and of course Elwin. After the parents had left, everyone continued to stay silent. Besides Elwin, Dex was the first person to move. He came up to me, and rubbed my arm.

"You okay?" Dex asked.

"Uh, yeah." I answered, shaking my head a little. This is not how I planned for this to happen. But someone had to say something, or things would start to get really awkward.

I looked up at Fitz, and he was looking between me and Keefe. He was trying to decide who to go to, and I kinda felt bad. Keefe is his best friend, but I'm his girlfriend. Oh no. I'm Fitz's girlfriend.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm not happy being his girlfriend. I really am. Just, Keefe doesn't know that. And I'm kinda nervous about his reaction. Will he support us? Think we're a bad match? Tell us it won't work, and end like it had before? I don't know, and I really don't feel like thinking about that right now.

Biana moved next, coming to my side to make sure I was okay, squeezing Dex's hand, then going over to check on Keefe. More people started moving around, but Elwin wouldn't let anyone go on the other side of me because he needed it for space to work. I don't know why, my leg was already bandaged. Maybe he wants to do a check up? I doubt it, he'd want to do that when the room isn't as crowded.

Mr. Forkle came over to stand next to me, and gently patted my arm. "I have to go now, but I'll be coming back soon to check on you and talk about what happened today."

I nodded my head, and Mr. Forkle left. Elwin, now being the only adult, also decided to leave saying he had work to do in his office.

"It's just us now." Biana said, looking at everyone. Keefe was still remaining silent, but I couldn't blame him.

"We're glad your awake." Fitz said, hitting Keefe's shoulder.

"Yeah. Me too." Keefe smiled at Fitz. 

"So! Do you have any questions for us?" Biana said, trying to cheer everyone up.

Keefe looked over at me, and I looked at my fidgeting hands. Was he going to ask me a question? And what about? How long he'd been asleep? I couldn't answer that, it would hurt more then possible to tell Keefe that. Its been about two months now, hasn't it? Two months of me hiding in the shadows, not doing anything.

"Ha, yeah. I've got lots of questions."

Biana smiled, and grabbed a chair and set it between my cot and Keefe's cot before siting down. "I'm all ears!"

"Well, unfortunately I'm going to have to go. I just got a notification from Tiergan, but we'll catch up some other time." Wylie said, holding his imparter out.

We all said goodbye to Wylie as he light leaped out, and turned our attention back to Biana.

"Well," She said. "Ask away!"

"Well, for starters," Keefe looked around the room, before his eyes met Tams. "Anything new, Bangs boy?"

Tam rolled his eyes, but the edges of his lips went up. "Other then the fact that you snore? Nope, thats it."
