As you step out of the car you notice bakugo wince just slightly as he exits the car. As you make your way to the elevator with him you can see he's trying to hide the pain he's feeling.

"If you need to lean on me you can." You suggest gently as to not bruise his pride.

"I'm fine." He says through slightly gritted teeth. You heave a frustrated sigh and take his arm and drape it on your shoulders. "Is said I'm fi-" he stops talking seeing your stare. He huffs reluctantly leaning on you. You see immediately how much relief he feels putting some of his weight on you.

"You know you don't always have to be a stubborn ass." You say as the two of you step into the elevator.

"Says a stubborn ass." He leans on the side of the elevator removing his arm from your shoulder.

"Touché." You say crossing your arms. For some reason you wonder what had happened while he and Deku were out. "So did you catch the bastard?" Bakugo let's out a half laugh half sigh.

"I wish. Dumbass Deku couldn't catch him." His features are frustrated and you can tell he's thinking about what happened.

"And what about you? Why didn't you catch him?" Stares at you caught off guard by your question.

"He used his quirk on us, on me." So bakugo was left helpless. You wondered what could possibly his biggest fear besides never passing midoriya. "Somehow Deku snapped out of it and was left to fight him while defending me." You can tell by his expression that he hated admitting that he was helpless in that moment.

"Is it to much if I asked what your biggest fear was?" He stares down at the floor as if debating his answer.

"My biggest fear was you betraying my trust." Your heart almost stopped. You had nearly done just that only a few hours ago. Before you can ask any question running through your head the elevator dings and the doors open.

Without another thought you stand next to bakugo waiting for him to lean on you. After what seems like a moment of thought by him he does.

As you enter the apartment he attempts remove his arm but you force him to lean on you as you guide him to his room.

"I'm not child that needs to be coddled." You roll your eyes as you open his bedroom door.

"No your not, but you are a man who needs to learn to rely on others." He grunts as you help him sit on the edge of his bed.

"Can I rely on you?" The question catches you of guard for moment. Sighing you cross your arms.

"Had you asked me that a few days ago I would have said no. But that's changed." As you decide on your next words your heart is pounding. "I swear on my life that you can rely on me. I'm done being some ghost in your past. I'm ready to fix the shit I broke. And I hope that you'll give me a second chance, not just as your friend but, as more." You can feel your hands shaking. You keep your stare at the ground unwilling to see his reaction.

You hear him sigh. "Had you said that to me a few days ago I would have said no." Your heart skips a beat as you look up at him. He stands from the bed you can tell he's in pain but he continues to stand. "But you've shown me that you really want to change. To be better. So I'm willing to give you that second chance."

(A/n I know it's short but I wasn't sure how else to end this.)
