You exited the room you were in being met with a hallway. There was one door across from yours. To the right the hallway seemed to lead to another bedroom and maybe a closet.
To the left you saw it opened up into a living room and kitchen. The smell of food wafted to you. It smelled good and spicy. At least he hadn't changed that.
You slowly made your way down the hall and into the kitchen. Bakugo was just setting some bowls on the table. You move closer staring at the food.
You chuckle a little. "Spicy ramen. You haven't changed a bit have you?" You give him an amused but affectionate smile.
"Just sit down. We need to talk." He says taking his own seat at the table. You sit across from him nervous. You tried your hardest not to dive into the food until he did. You hated it but god were you starving.
As soon as he takes his first bite of food you do the same. You were so surprised when you originally found out he could cook. Now today you were grateful for it.
As you eat you notice bakugo staring at you. He doesn't bother to hide the concern in his eyes.
He hadn't realized at first how skinny you really were. Now staring at you devouring your food he could see the hollows in your cheeks. The way your eyes were sunk in and how bony your fingers were.
Seeing him staring you slow down attempting to eat normally. You finish and self consciously move your hands under the table.
"So what did you want to talk about?" You ask as he move his bowl to the side. He puts his elbows on the table in a relaxed manner.
"You staying here." You stare in shock at him.
"What?" You furrow your brows completely caught off guard and confused.
"I said your staying here. I'll provide you with food and shelter as long as you help clean up around here." He paused. You didn't speak seeing he intended on saying more. "And you stay away from any form of alcohol. I don't care if it's whiskey or some damn wine. You'll have nothing as long as you want to stay here." You clenched your fists in your lap. What he was offering was heaven. More than you deserved, but, no alcohol. Nothing.
"Bakugo I-" he cuts you off.
"If you say what I think your going to say you can leave now. I won't tolerate it." His passion was enough to hit something in your heart. How had you forgotten how much he cared? Yes it was an offhanded way of offering a solution but it meant something. He stilled cared enough to help you.
You blinked a few times pushing back what felt like tears. "Thank you." Your voice cracked as you spoke. You cleared your throat rubbing your tired eyes with the palms of your hands.
"Once you've gained a little weight and get some fluids in you, your going to a doctor." He sat back in his chairs arms crossed as if he was ready for you to argue.
"For my bruises?" You asked feeling of your stomach. He shook his head.
"No. You've been consuming nothing but alcohol for years. There's no telling what it's done to your body." You made and oh shape with your mouth realizing what he meant. It made sense.
"But I don't have the money to pay for that. And I don't expect you to pay for it." You spoke adding the last part quickly.
"I'll put you under the agency's insurance it'll cover it." You narrowed your eyes.
"Isn't that breaking the law. I don't work there and we're not," you paused. "we're not, together or anything." You suddenly felt something. But you weren't sure what. It hit so suddenly you couldn't be sure.
"We don't have to be together we can just say we are for now. As often as that idiot Kirishima complains that he wishes you were around more often I doubt anyone will question it." He seems so calm talking about something so serious. For a split second excitement runs through you hearing kirishimas name. He had been one of your closest friends. You shake that away for the moment.
"Kat-" you cut yourself off catching yourself again. "Bakugo, that's not something I want to lie about." He sighs.
"Look all that matters is I say your living with me and thats not lying. They'll assume what they want but if that's all you say, your not lying." You still didn't like it but it was better than nothing.
"Ok." He nods to that and stands from the table.
"Go take a shower. I'll leave some clothes in the hall for when your done." He says taking your bowl. You stand and go to head for the bathroom. You stop not entirely sure where it was. You look to bakugo who's back is to you. Though before you can speak he speaks. "It's the door across from yours."
You quietly chuckle to yourself. He always knew what you were thinking. You turn and make your way to the bathroom.
You take your time washing yourself. You relish in the warm water and cleansing soap. Once your done you find a towel and wrap yourself with it.
Cautiously you crack open the door. There you see a pile of clothes just on the floor. You grab them quickly shutting the door. Getting dressed you open the door again. You look down the hall towards the living room. "Do you have a spare toothbrush?"
Though you can't see him his voice calls back clearly. "There's one in the medicine cabinet." You return to the bathroom opening the medicine cabinet. Easily spotting the toothbrush you grab it. Before you can shut the cabinet though, you see a bottle of cold medicine.
You eyes shoot to the "10% Alcohol" on the label. You grab the bottle examining it in your hand. Your heart pounded as you considered drinking it all. Then Bakugos disappointed face flashed in your head.
Shaking your head you quickly put the medicine back shutting the medicine cabinet. You finish up your hygiene routine and go to your room.
Laying down on the bed you sit in the dark and think a moment. Your thoughts though are to much for the moment and shut them out. Sleep finds you quickly.
