𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧

Tonks looked in shock to see Raven, her smile falling as she griped her son tighter. Andromeda looked emotionally drained to see her niece standing there, all grown and a adult woman now when the last time she saw her she was only ten, "Raven."

"She's harmless." Remus said quickly to ease his wife's worry, holding a hand before Raven to signal her to approach with caution, "She helped Harry and his friends escape Malfoy Manor, saved them."

"Why would she do that?" Tonks asked with a glare, not believing the words. Raven couldn't blame her, she could barely believe the words herself.

"Because I want to be better." Raven spoke up, feeling annoyed with having a man speak for her, especially to her own blood, "Because they don't control me and I can't sit back and let evil take over the things I love anymore."

Tonks stared at her, her hair on her head turning from the bright red to the neutral color once again, "It's about time."

Andromeda left her daughters side to hug Raven tightly, a feeling Ravens brain couldn't remember but her body could as she hugged the older woman back, "Following in my footsteps."

Raven had to laugh at her words, "Something like that."

"Come close." Tonks encouraged her, Raven slowly approached the woman and the newborn baby in her hands. He was sleep, still red and alien looking but precious and innocent. Raven felt emotional looking at the baby before her, felt the need to guard and protect him from all the evil and bad in the world that could be coming.

"He has your nose." Raven said as Tonks laughed slightly and looked down at the child like he was the only star in the sky. Raven saw Remus doing the same, stroking the newborns bald head with glassy eyes. Raven wondered what it would ever be like to love something that much, though she wasn't aware she already had.

"Do you want one of your own one day? Your mother did always have such high hopes you and that Zabini boy would give her precious pureblood babies." Andromeda spoke as she sat back down with a scoff, "Wouldn't blame you for not doing so just to get her knickers in a twist."

Raven snorted as Tonks looked at her mom in a bit of humor and disbelief. Lupin was laughing, "Mother!"

Andromeda simply shrugged and continued to sip her tea.

"Well, actually, it's not necessary possible for me to have a child of my own." Raven spoke as she nervously looked to the three, not sure what they're opinions were on something that was a bit rare in the wizard world, "You see.... girls tend to be my specialty."

"I see." Tonks said as her and Lupin shared a smirk, "This wouldn't happen to have anything to do with a certain bushy haired know if all girl, would it?"

Raven flushed as she eyed her. Tonks and Lupin shared a laugh.

"She spoke about you often when we saw her last at the wedding." Remus informed Ravens confused featured. Raven cracked a grin as she shrugged.

"I guess it does have to do with her." she answered and picked at her fingers.

"The little redhead girl that was here? Fiery, that one, i'd figure your similar traits would clash." Andromeda spoke with a knowing expression toward Raven who looked confused a moment before she gave a small small.

"I assume you're thinking of Ginny Weasley." Raven said as Andromeda looked like she realized suddenly she had been speaking about her, "We do clash horribly, the amount of duels that happened in the Great Hall will go down in hogwarts history."

"Your mother and I had plenty of duels back in our day." her auntie spoke knowingly, "Hated the woman, thought she was too much of a lunatic."

"Mother." Tonks warned again as Raven shook her head.

"She is a lunatic." Raven nodded her head in agreement, "You should probably know though... my father, he, um, well hes dead."

Andromeda had a small frown before she nodded her head, "Well, wish I could say I had better memories with him but I can't remember even one good one."

Raven ventured away from saying she'd been the one to kill him.

Teddy let out a small coo as Tonks and Remus gushed down at him. Tonks took notice of her cousin staring at the baby with a small smile, "Have you been around babies before?"

"No, never." Raven said with a grin, "I always thought i'd hate babies, not this one though."

"He's better then other babies." Remus said as Tonks agreed playfully, the pair laughing. Andromeda gave a knowing look as she rose to her feet and headed for the kitchen, leaving the three and the baby behind.

"You did the right thing." Tonks said suddenly as her hand was on Ravens rather quickly, "I can see you're second guessing it but you can't allow yourself to, you have to fight, you have to show you're better then what the world wants you to be. For me."

Raven stared at her cousin with wide eyes before she squeezed her hand back, "I will."

For Tonks and Teddy.

"Here, dear, write to that girl of yours and let her know you're safe. If she's the one i'm thinking of she's likely to be hooting and raving by now." Andromeda said as she walked back into the room with parchment and a quill, "We keep a owl in the drawing room."

Raven smiled slightly as she gripped the paper in hand with a inhale before she made the rational decision to write, to live like she wanted to, for Tonks and Teddy.

Dear Hermione,

I'm here and safe back with my auntie and cousin along with a baby that I have already grown to adore. Perhaps this isn't the right time to say such a thing but I have to do so.

What I wanted to say to you earlier...

Raven stopped writing as she hesitated, looking over at her cousin and the man she seemed to adore more then anything, seeing how happy the pair were with the other.

was that I loved you more then anything else in this world.
