The fear that took over Hogwarts when Voldemorts voice echoed in all of their ears left students confused and scared. Ones where staring at Harry, gapping even. Stuck between wanting to give Harry over to protect themselves, others not wanting to risk it or see Harry die.

Not Pansy Parkinson.

"What are you waiting for?" she hollered out into the silent, standing behind Blaise, "Someone grab him!"

Before there could be any words, a dark flash of black smoke came through the broken window Snape disappeared through just moments before.Mcgonagall drew her wand as some students screamed out, staring over. A figure came from the smoke, heels flicking on the floor as she pulled her black hair from under her leather jacket she wore.

"If anyone touched Harry i'll be sure to kill you myself." Ravens voice echoed as she smirked at Harry, her feet echoing as she walked down the isle of students that were all separated on either side of the Great Hall. Raven walked like she owned the place, looking to Harry at the end of the group, "Where is she?"

"You stop where you are." Professor Mcgonagall said in a warning manor, drawing her wand toward Raven who only smirked, walking right past the older woman.

"She's on our side." Harry warned as their was a sudden wave of whispers that echoed over Hogwarts as Raven didn't even offer so much as a look in their direction, pulling her jacket around her tighter as she continued to walk down the isle before she froze.

"I'll ask again." Raven said as she pulled her wand out, "Where is she?"

"Move!" the familiar voice was heard as Hermione pushed past the lot of Gryffindors. She looked a mess, beautiful as her eyes lit up at the sight of Raven standing just a few feet away, "You came."

"Did you really suppose i'd leave you in this mess?" Raven asked with a knowing grin. Hermione ran toward her as Raven put her wand back in her pocket, meeting her in the middle, "When I heard the war started I-"

Raven was cut off so suddenly.

She was cut off in the most loving and heart felt way possible. With Hermiones lips on hers, her hands on her face, kissing her roughly as if she was waiting to for the longest of times. Raven stood in shock for a moment before wrapping her hands around the Granger girl, pulling her closer to deepen their kiss.

There was a silence over the Great Hall. It was a sight no one would have even though to see or experience, not Hermione Granger and Raven Black. They knew the pair to be at each other's throats, hexing each other, mocking the other. Yet here they were, kissing like their lives depended on it.

Hermione pulled back first, face flushed as her eyes watered due to her emotions being ridiculously high, "I got your letter."

"Was getting worried you'd leave me hanging." Raven said with a half grin, her hands moving to rub Hermiones back. She felt warm, loved, two thing she wasn't use to. She had her, she got her.
