⚔Chapter 15⚔

Hey Guys!

We'll end the book at chapter 20, so until then every new chapter will be a short chap about one of the five mages.

Chap 20 will also be one of these, technically 21 will be the last chap but we're just gonna call it last chapter.

-Shizuka's POV-

I panted, glaring at my battle partner; preparing for the attack. Anyone who had fought me before will understand that I never make the first move.

The blonde mage shouted, lunging forward & attempting to knock my wooden sword out of my hand. I dodged backward & met her blow easily; pushing her away for long enough that i could step backward, twirl, run then face her again in time for the next attack.

Although it never came.

"I think thats enough for one day!" I glanced over to where the voice had come from, scowling at the trio of stronger mages; particularly Synthia as she was the one who had called time.
"Lets go," said Anika, "I promised to buy everyone dinner today did I not?" she grinned & left the room. Mizumi laughed at my expression, turning on her heel & motioning for the two of us to come before she followed her teammates outside.
I watched my friend's scarlet red hair dissapear around the corner, then sighed; putting away the wooden practice swords, Nasumi & I ran after the S-Class mages.

"Pizza!"
"Nah, lets get Sushi!"
"Theres a new dango resteraunt close to the guild~"
"That sounds good, so dango?"
"Yep!"
I rolled my eyes, laughing slightly as I followed the older girls throuhthe familiar streets of our town. If you didn't know where you were going, it was pretty easy to get lost.
"Looks like we're getting dango balls!" Nasumi laughed, falling in step with me as our group rounded the corner. I nodded enthusiastically, glancing up to the sky I stated;
"seems like it's gonna be a hot night."
"yeah, what'cha say we go down to the river after dinner?" Nasumi replied, raising her voice as she asked the question so that our S-Class friends could hear.
"Sounds good to me!" agreed Mizumi, grinning at Anika & Syth, the pair smiled back; quickly returning to their own conversation before Anika suddenly declared
"race you to the shop!!"
Everyone laughed & started running, our magic serving as a speed boost; Syth's water glowed silver, Nasumi's rocks pounded against the ground, Mizumi's wind torrents swirled around her faster than a tornado, Anika's flames burned brightly against the night sky.

"Gahh..."
Anika collapsed next to the river that ran through Phoenix Forest, the forest behind our guild.
"We should not have done that..." Synthia groaned, dangling her feet in the water & watching ripples swirl around her feet. Nasumi eyed the pair suspiciously; although her concentration was broken immediately as a giant wave hit her, followed by a laugh. The blonde mage growled,
"Well at least you idiots can hold your liqour!!" She raged, spinning around to glare at Mizumi.
The sky mage's fiery green eyes were clouded yet still bright, they possessed an energetic glow that she got when she was excited. Her scarlet red hair shone bright red in the moonlight, while the untouched parts were darkened to blood red. Droplets of water clung to her hair & clothes, which were now soaked through.
"Guess who's gonna be hungover tomorrow?" I smirked, watching warily as Mizumi laughed at me & decided to make herself comfortable in the river; she sat back against the bank & amused herself by creating small whirlpools with her winds. Anika grimaced,
"What exactly are we going to do about that?" She muttered, shaking her head to clear her light blue hair which was now night blue of the water she had picked up from her friend's 'fun'.
"Well, she's obviously drunk so-" Syth started, cut off by Anika;
"Nah!"
"Well anyway," the violet eyed mage frowned, continuing after a moment's pause. "the logical thing to do would be to call a cab." she explained, a gloomy aura beggining to surround her.
Mizumi climbed out of the river, collapsing on the soft grass & quickly falling asleep after creating a small blanket of wind & clouds. Anika followed & lastly Syth.
Nasumi & I glanced at each other then laughed,
"thats what you get for being underaged drinkers!" I giggled, dipping one hand into the water.
"We should go out like this more often..." Nasumi murmured suddenly. I looked up at her, surprised. She was staring up at the sky, noticing my gaze upon her; she pointed & my eyes followed her gesture. Small symbols surrounded the word written in the sky, seemingly representing each of the five mages' element.
The clouds read

"Phoenixes"

A leaf for Nasumi's Earth God Magic,
A snowflake for Shizuka's Snow God Magic,
A raindrop for Synthia's Water Dragon Magic,
A flame for Anika's Fire Demon Magic,
A whispy cloud for Mizumi's Sky Demon Magic.

Damit Mizumi! Looks like she wasnt just shaping the water, but the sky as well.
