⚔Chapter 19⚔

-Synthia's POV-
"Hey Lira, any S-Class jobs for us today?" Anika asked the pink-haired mage as we walked up to the bar, sitting in our usual places.
"Sorry guys, no S-class, but there are other jobs that need doing!" She handed us a pile of job requests, leafing through them I figured that they were all prrtty simple.
"We could probably get these done in a day?" I murmured to my friends, glancing at them.
"Yeah,"
"Why not~"

"That's 7 done!" Anika cheered, high-fiving me. We turned to Mizumi, she was sitting on a nearby bench, scribbling on a parchment. I wandered towards her, "Mizumi!" Anika called, following me over. "Hey Mizu, what's wrong?" She asked, petting the sky mage's head like a dog.
Mizumi pouted, standing up briskly & storming off.
"Nothing's wrong!" She insisted, staying ahead of us as we travelled to the next job's location.

"okay, Mizumi is writing something REALLY important on that paper; so we need to find out what it is!!" I groaned as Anika stared intently at our friend's frantically writing hand.
"Anika noooo~~" I wailed, watching her walk 'calmly' towards Mizumi, who noticed her presence & stood immediately.
"Where to next?" She asked, grinning at me with a knowing glint in her green eyes. I just shook my head, laughing softly.

The three of us stood staring at the area around us, examining it for any trace of our enemies. The trees swayed in the wind & their leaves fell one - by - one to the ground. Suddenly the bushes rustled, and a shadow appeared, lurching forward towards us. It tackled Anika, who fell to the ground under the weight;
"Kyaaa!!" She screamed, rolling on the ground wrestling with her attacker.
"Anika!" Mizumi & I ran forward, but stopped short as her screams changed to laughter.
"Ahahahaha! H-hey! Stop that! Hahahaha!" I sighed while Mizumi glared at the blue haired Mage in annoyance; Anika pushed herself up, grinning & hugging the yelping pup that wriggled in her arms.
We returned the puppy to it's owner & headed home for the day, chatting eagerly about our recent adventures. Once we reached the guild, our team split up; Mizumi went to the bar while Anika sat at a table not to far away. I joined her, eyeing my friend suspiciously.
"Just what are you trying to do by getting your hands on that paper?" I questioned,
"Figure out what she's writing of course!" Anika groaned, "forget it, here she comes now."
As she said, Mizumi was approaching us; a nervous expression on her face.
"Anika, I know you want to know what I've been writing so I'll just tell you. It's a letter to a family member of mine that I was close to when I was younger." We both had to stop ourselves from gasping, Mizumi never spoke of her family, & I mean never! "Now, Lira just said that there's a really strong Mage coming to the guild soon! I wonder who it is!!" Her eyes grew dreamy, we talked about it for some 30 minutes, then left for Phoenix Nest. Once we reached our floor, the three of us parted ways, Mizumi going left while Anika & I went right.
"A family member she was close to? I wonder who she was talking about..." Anika murmured softly so that Mizu couldn't hear us. I nodded silently, saying goodbye to her as I reached my door; then going inside.

This chapter is REALLY short sorry guys I couldn't think of a good idea! Anyway, I know this was Syth's chapter but again I couldn't think of anything good like chapter 18 was, so I just made it this! Who was Mizumi talking about? Wait for the last chapter! HAHAHHA!
