VIOLA WINCHESTER
1993
.   .   .   .

"𝗩iola, stand up." Severus hovered above Viola, who laid sprawled on his classroom floor, spreading her arms and legs in and out as if to create a snow angel, except the only thing she was creating was a dust angel.

"No." Came Viola's short reply as she stopped momentarily before continuing and Severus sighed, shaking his head.

"Viola, you're an adult and I have second years now. Just stand up." Severus sternly told her and Viola looked up at him, but naturally she saw him upside down.

"Sometimes I wonder if I truly am and adult, you know?" The blonde sighed. "Besides, I'm not getting up until you agree to talk with me over tinkerds of Butterbeer, if not then voila! You now have a human skin rug mat!"

Severus raised a brow, amused. "Is that so?" He asked and Viola nodded. It was true, she wasn't planning on getting up because a, she wants to talk to Severus badly, b, she's comfortable and c, she isn't comfortable but very lazy and figured just staying on the floor would be nice. She was wrong.

"Yup." She grinned at him and just then, the second year's piled in, all staring at their Professor weird. Voila only grinned back.

"Take your seats and don't mind my... new rug." Severus muttered, shaking his head and Viola sent him the thumbs up before grinning at Harry, who smiled back awkwardly. "We'll be brewing Sleeping Draught today and you'll be lucky if any of you got it right on the first try ━ yes, Miss Winchester?"

Viola lowered her hand. "Still not keen?" She raised a brow, flipping over to lie on her belly and she saw Severus curse silently under his breath and she sent him a grin. "Cause I know the lucky one would be you, if you're just keen on talking then I'll stand up, if not, we'll I'm staying here forever."

"I have a class to teach Miss Winchester, please quiet down." Severus glared at the blonde on the floor.

Viola responded with her shit eating grin. "Huh? So not keen then? Very well then, you leave me no choice Severus Snape, absolutely no choice." She hummed, nodding. Severus shook his head, muttering something but Viola only caught her name in the sentence and she grinned. "Okay Mr Snape, you asked for it." She lay on her back again, making eye contact with Harry. "Might wanna plug those ears Harry, with this horrific thing I call a voice, I reckon you'll go deaf before Prongs could even say his name. And besides, it's going to be horrifically loud...." She smiled when Severus groaned behind her.

"Fine, Miss Winchester, you win." He said, trying will all his might to hide that growing smirk on his face.

Viola grinned at him, already springing up and she dusted herself off, skipping towards Severus and she plopped right beside him, her grin never faltering. "I always win, no matter what." She shrugged and laughed when Severus rolled his eyes.

"𝗔re you avoiding me?" Viola stopped walking, cursing under her breath when she heard Noah's voice. Was she avoiding him? She didn't know. Everything was sort of going well in her life now, so well that she forgot about Noah. The father of her child. Now that just sounds weird. She was going to be a mother, Merlin, that was just so weird. "I'd be able to understand if you are, I just want to know why."

"Er ━ no?" Viola turned around, chuckling sheepishly as she scratched her head. Noah raised a brow, a smile playing on his lips. One without those god-made dimples. "Well, sorta." She shrugged. "I didn't mean to though, it's just everything is finally going so good in my life and I maybe forgot you existed. Just for a fraction of time, that is. I could never forget Noah Greengrass."

Noah chuckled. "Tell me about it, about why everything is going well."

"Well, I for one managed to control my telekinesis. Look!" Viola grinned when she stuck out her hand, ready to levitate a nearby flower pot but never got the chance, for Harry and Ron were running towards her.

"Aunt Viola!" Harry cried out and Viola furrowed her brow in confusion. Aunt Viola? What has James done to this boy? "It's Hermione!" He cried out again, finally stopping by her side and he heaved for air as he plopped down on the floor.

"Thought you were supposed to be a Seeker kid." Viola snorted when Harry waved her off. "What's wrong with Hermione?"

"It's got her! She's been petrified!" Ron exclaimed, eyes wide as wide as Viola's.

"Merlin." Viola breathed out. "Look, we'll talk later Noah." She quickly said, and in the spur of the moment, she unknowingly kissed his cheek. And while Noah froze, Viola didn't and she just ran after Harry and Ron, still pondering over the fact that Harry called her an aunt.

.   .   .   .

𝗛ermione was as stiff as cousin Barnett without any drugs in his system. And that's saying something. Even though Viola knew she wasn't in any physical pain, she still looked like she was either in pain or in shock. Viola also knew that she couldn't do anything but wait for the Mandrakes to mature and last she checked with Madam Pomfrey and Professor Sprout, they still need time. But time wasn't something Viola or any of the students and Professors had or could have, especially at a time like this. It was scary knowing that you could be petrified at any given time, at any given day.

"We'll get this sicko, you two don't worry. And once we do, I'll wring both his ears for you and sock him in the face for Hermione and Penelope." Viola told the two boys who were sitting across her, a soft smile on her face.

"I want to punch him myself Professor." Ron growled, looking at Hermione and Viola could see the look of pure anger behind those eyes and just behind that, love. It was probably just a silly school crush ❨ she had a silly school crush on Severus and she's still pinning over him ❩ but Viola's heart warmed nevertheless.

"Then I'll drag him here and you can have a go at him."

"Or her, you'll never know." Noah's voice suddenly said and Viola nearly jumped.

"Merlin Noah! When did you get here?" She asked and the man only chuckled, settling himself next to her.

"I've always been here, you just didn't see me." He shrugged, looking at a petrified Hermione. "Daphne was the one who told me about her, you know? She and the Ravenclaw girl."

"Professor McGonagall said ━"

"Because I asked her to. I know we Greengrass' have a reputation to uphold and I wasn't going to ruin Daphne's when it's only starting." Noah shrugged again, sighing.

"We'll get him. We have to get him. If we don't, the school will really close and I don't want that." Viola bit her bottom lip. "We'll get him."

an. While writing this chapter, specifically one sentence, I accidentally wrote it like this yes Miss Winchester 🙄 and I was like, why is that so accurate. It's dumb but I laughed my bloody ass off.
