I Like You

~To The Story~

Airi tried her best to concentrate on her painting, but no matter how hard she focused, her eyes will quickly glance at you from time to time. As if she expected to hear you talk about your date with Karma yesterday.

15 minutes have gone by since you came into the art room and not once have you brought up your date. She expected you to go into details on how it went, but all she got was a 'hey senpai, what are you working on?' That was it. Your typical talks with her were exchanged and nothing more.

Airi did end up asking you how your date was and all you said with a shy smile was 'it was fine.' After that, you went quiet. Minutes passed and all you did was go through the photos from your date with Karma.

"Look," you showed Airi the picture on your phone. "He bought me a giant penguin."

"It's cute." She commented, seeing the picture of you holding a large penguin stuffy which she assumed Karma took that picture for you.

"Isn't it? I had a hard time carrying it around though, so Karma offered to carry it." You then giggled at the memory. "You should have seen it. It was kinda cute to see him carrying that stuffy."

"It sure looks like you had fun on your date," Airi commented, thinking this is her chance to go further into the subject.

"Yeah... I did," you admit, smiling with pink cheeks.

You did enjoy the date with Karma yesterday. You were less nervous and giddier than anything else, especially at how Karma treated you like a princess. Who would have thought Karma had a hidden gentlemen's side to him. It did give you a chance to see Karma in a different view. You even thought a few times of how good of a boyfriend he could be.

"Are you going on another date with him?"

"Uh..." You flustered over that. That question hasn't occurred to you. "I'm not sure." You shrugged. "If he asks, then maybe."

"Wait, are you guys dating now?"

"E-eh?!" This isn't the first time someone asked you if you were dating Karma, however, after going on a date with him yesterday and having some questions on your own, you couldn't help but feel flushed over that question. "N-no we're not."

"Ah..."

Fidgeting your fingers, you shyly spoke. "... Do you think it would be weird if Karma and I started dating?"

"That all depends on you and Karma-kun. Do you see him as a romantic partner?"

The heat spread across your face as fast as flash fire. You shook your head, telling her 'no' but then you thought back at the aquarium and how held onto your hand to make you feel safe. You didn't know if it was the location or the feeling of Karma holding your hand, but, you felt a sort of spark inside of you.

"Well..." Slowly, you made eye contact with her. "Maybe just a little." You spoke softly, half shrugging.

She simply smiled at you. "Why don't you tell him that?"

You shook your head, face and body flushed. "No way. No way."

"Aw, why. I think you guys make a nice couple."

"Don't say that!!" You pressed your hands against your cheeks, giving a soft whine. "I never once thought about me and Karma as a couple and we've known each other for so long, it will be so weird if we suddenly started going out."

"Okay, I get where you're coming from, but if you end up going out with, then realize it isn't working out then just go back to being friends."

"You make it sound so easy." You scoffed. In your mind, it isn't that easy. "And who says Karma feels the same way?"
