~To The Story~

Date him... or reject him... date him... or reject him...or...

"Ugh." You groaned once again about thinking of your options from Karma's confession as you buried further into your pillow.

It was all this pondering that was keeping you up in the middle of the night when everyone in your home was sound asleep. Even your Marshmallow was asleep in his cage, leaving you to rely on yourself for company.

You sluggishly turned your body towards another direction in the bed, trying to find a comfortable position and spot. Sadly, it was one of those nights where everything felt like it wasn't even your bed.

You found yourself huffing some air out in frustration from this and stared up at the dark ceiling in your room. You were internally blaming Karma for your lack of sleep for tonight. He kept invading your thoughts and his confession just brought you utter confusion.

It's been months since you've been in a relationship and sure it ended in disaster, but Karma was there pick up the broken pieces of your once shattered heart. And because of that, you felt better about finding a new guy to date. But dating your best friend was an entirely different story. Stepping in that new territory with him sounded pretty scary.

Yet, you knew you don't have to worry about Karma breaking your heart.

He has always been there for you.

"I FREAKIN' HATE BOYS!!!!" You screamed into your pillow as your blanket was draped over your entire body.

"I know you don't mean that." You hear Karma say, who was sitting at the edge of your bed, carrying Marshmallow and not minding all the used crumbled up tissues scattered around your bed. "Does that mean you hate me?"

You groaned in annoyance, feeling more annoyed than ever before. "Go home, Karma!"

"I can't. Your mom won't let me leave until I cheer you up."

"I don't care. GO AWAY!!"

Karma sighed, not really fazed by your current aggressive mood. This isn't the first time he has dealt with you crying but was never this bad before. It broke his heart seeing you like this. Just a couple of days ago, you were happy, smiling and in love and all that came crumbling down within a few seconds once you found out your ex was cheating on you.

"Don't be scared Marshmallow," Karma tenderly petted the white rabbit. "Mommy and daddy are just having some problems right now."

From under the blanket, you kicked him earning an 'ow' from him.

"Hey, excuse me for trying to comfort our child from all your yelling."

"I'm divorcing your ass then."

From that, Karma almost let out a chuckle. It felt like the two of you were back at your guys' usual banter, but Karma's hope quickly dissolved when he heard a soft cry from you. He softly sighed and placed Marshmallow on the floor so he can scurry off.

"Seriously though," Karma gently patted your back. "Come out of there."

You shook your head. "I don't wanna."

"You've been in bed all day today and yesterday. Can we at least go out and do something?"

"If you're so bored then go by yourself."

"No."

"I'll kick you again!"

"You've been kicking me, punching and slapping me for years, you're gonna have to try harder than that to get rid of me."
